I love that RC and FV brought back A.J. (and gave SK a long-term contract) no matter how implausible his return story. Like so many of the Qs, A.J. should have never been killed off in the first place. A.J. was always an important character and he would have given GH tons of great story, but he was not in the mob and stood between the horrible threesome and their determination to control everyone and everything. I would love for Y&R to do the same with Colleen, just bring her back using some hokey excuse and move the character forward.

I don't think it'll be that bad. As long as Emme knows how to play a character who isn't a spoiled little bitch. (Her last two characters were...though, I liked Abby)

I think she's a good actress. She wouldn't have been the first pick if I were casting. (That would have been Alexa Havens...I always thought she could be a recast Lulu) But, I like her none the less.

God. She is SUCH an annoying actress. Of all the talented actors who could've been cast as Lulu and they get this overgrown brat. I wonder if she'll be able to play the role any differently than she played Lizzie and Abby. SO annoying since GH is the one soap that I've been loving fullstop.

to be fair, she also played a similar role in Bring it On. I like Marcy (cant get used to Emme) yet so Im interested in seeing her in a new role and think people are judging her fair too quickly. Just bc she played spoiled princess in the past doesn't mean she will do that here. The character of Lulu isn't, unlike Abby or Lizzie, so MR will have to approach the character differently and theres nothing to say that she wont

that's bc she is typecast as spoiled princess/rich bitch. The role she is about to take on is not.

Abby was a poorly defined character. I'm more than willing to see her in the role of Lulu. I want to see Lulu as spirited and feisty and stubborn yet able to be sexy. I think she'll definitley bring some sex appeal to Lulu. Lulu might even become fun. That would be nice.

Anyone think the baby story is what caused JMB to bolt? I know there were rumors on and off about her leaving but the timing seems interesting. I'm probably off though.

No, didnt she state somewhere that she told them last june she would be leaving when her contract was up?

Shes been on the fence about leaving for a long time. I dont think the baby story had anything to do with it, esp because she is friends with Kirsten, bradford & Dom.

    • Looking at those totals it seems most contract actors are on a 1 or 2 week average guarantee. I assume contracts are still operating on 13 week cycles so you would have to know the particular actors contract starting date to work out their guarantee. The question remains as to what actors listed as contract are actually recurring? Bryton ?
    • Yep, that scene was at the conclusion of the Derek Thurston vs George Packard storyline, when Kay decided neither of them should run Chancellor.  By the time she put Victor in charge, Victor had been on the show for months & months with his Rolls Royce, his ranch, and Newman Enterprises.  SONY released some Y&R "trivia cards" in the late 1980s, and one of the questions was "who brought Victor Newman to Genoa City?" The answer on the back of the card is "Kay Thurston, to run Chancellor Industries", and it's a wrong answer lol.
    • I think someone said it did exist, but I can't remember.
    • The bit with the scarf reminds me of the fabled stuffed animal scene with Rick and Phillip. (That wasn't debunked, was it?)
    • Ohh, interesting. I instantly gravitated towards her in that episode. Of course I'm already hooked and want to know why she was trying to poison that older lady, but then how did the older lady know to switch the mugs so Susan drank her own poison...  but I have too many timelines I'm watching right now haha.  Oh, Bolger is definitely hot. I didn't realize he was on GL haha. I knew him from OLTL and other primetime stuff.
    • This is a effin shame. Eff Trump and eff the bastards that enable him.
    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.
