Might be off-topic but I like the characters Heather and Hunter. I think they were either miss-cast or the actors need help. The guy who played Tom Cuddahy was as wooden as it came when he arrived back in 1978!! I think we need to give Hunter and Heather some slack. I like that heather doesn't have that typical winey voice most soap stars of that age have today. She can really pull of being a teen. I have ran into so many people in my age group that sound and act that way its not funny. Typically they are into things like Dungeon and Dragons or World of Warcraft.

This Hunter person could be a good Greenlee 2.0 but with a masculine twist! I always wanted soaps to create arrogant, selfish, spoiled guys with complex backgrounds. Not like David Hayward or Adam or Palmer but a true "He-Bitch" that could be hell on wheels without being an actual villain. I guess a character like Tad but with a more hellish temperament? Hunter could have a horrible home life and he likes to take it out on others but he has enough charisma to gain followers.

Yeah, that's what I was going for. I'm sick and tired of the run-of-the-mill bad boys. Is it too much to ask for an upper-class, snobby, douchey boy-snob? To be honest, that's what I was hoping AJ would be. Oh, well, can't dwell on the past. Maybe an aged Spike can provide that if not Hunter.

    • I'm left wondering if Lynda Hirsch had much access from her office in the Midwest?  I assume people called her to leak information all the time.  But her insight into the character of John Conboy made me question if she was an insider or just a yenta?
    • The interview also makes me appreciate more how clever it was for Bill Bell to use names like Storm or Thorne. That was a quick talking point for Hirsch with the show. And while I always made fun of it, looking back that's also something that made people I knew who rarely watched soaps always remember B&B.
    • There was also nepo babies Ethan Wayne and Carrie Mitchum.
    • I had forgotten he was on Kotter until the interview (I did watch that show to the end in reruns but the only replacement I remembered was Della Reese). I should watch that spinoff pilot sometime.  Maybe he decided acting wasn't for him anyway as his last credit is two years later.
    • I don't have to tell you, that he was their “big get” when it came to casting.  He replaced John Travolta on Welcome Back Kotter and starred in the backdoor pilot for a guy spinoff of Charlie's Angels with Barbara Stanwyck.  He was certainly more famous than the lead singer of one-hit-wonder Player. In the beginning, I always confused Dave and Thorn, as well as Ridge and Rocco, due to their similar hairstyles. Side note: You know The Colby's was bad if Barbara Stanwyck thought the writing was worse than the guy Charlie's Angels script -- Toni's Boys .
    • This has a lot of talk about early B&B, including Lynda Hirsch correctly inferring that Gail Kobe and Bill Bell may not work together long. She also roasts Bill Bell the way Chris Schemering did for the various mentions of "My God, man!" I am trying to remember if we actually got any of those (didn't Ridge used to say it?). There's also a lot of mention of Stephen Shortridge, who never seemed to have anywhere near as much value on the show itself. Sometimes I am surprised they never brought Dave Reed back for another doomed Brooke romance.

    • Thanks.  It can be tough to remove things from IMDB.
    • Which RC isn't above doing so thank goodness that was not the case.
    • Another episode breakdown by RC. That wasn't great to see on screen. I thought the Laura and Leslie scenes were a dream sequence.  The episode was better than yesterday's episode. I'm not feeling the Anita story at all.  Ashley and Derek continue to be a bore.
    • No, you're totally correct, for whatever reason I was thinking of Cape Canaveral.  Is the problem with being an EMT in Salem that nobody seems to drive, or use ambulances?  I could've sworn they walked Philip over on a gurney from the hotel to the hospital.

Is the writing staff trying to use coded messaging ? Javi was very specific that he wasn't fired for being gay, but he was harassed into quitting. I wish Johnny was going to work at the paper, I'd like him with Chad. I hope there's no foreshadowing in Tate and Shawn feeling queasy…
