I don't get a creepy vibe from Kyle rather I think he is bland and lacks charisma. I totally understood why16 year old Victoria fell for twenty something year old Ryan and Colleen fell in love with J.T, but I just can't see what Summer would be so desperately attracted to with Kyle. He is just there, you know. Now if Summer made a play for Alex, I would get it.

Aging Summer up to 18 years for this romance with Kyle takes away the forbidden aspect of the story. So why do it? One of the reasons that the J.T./Colleen's romance was so intense and forbidden that she was only 15 and he was an 18 year old player causing her parents to have genuine concerns. I suppose the Abbott/Newman conflict will cause some drama for Kyle and Summer, but I am not impressed by either actor. I guess, we will see how it plays out.

I think the days of Newman/Abbott mingling being an interesting conflict passed many years ago. There are no Abbotts at this point, to me anyway, and the Newman family, outside of Nikki, all seem dull as hell to me. Bacteria was about as interesting as Kevin's hair gel. I'm more interested in whether or not Y&R's casting director has a weakness for slightly pudgy men who bathe in Crisco.

Carmine just looks at Lauren and they set the screen on fire.

I also did enjoy Katherine, Jill, and Adriana's scenes.

And Summer's already 18? She was 15 last year when she was aged up.

Summer was driving when she was aged with the first (bad) actress, so she was 16. Hasn't she had a very low-key birthday since? So, 17, but 18? I guess she. Fen and Jamie are seniors.

I do recall y&r fan defending Tammin S against the benefactor gossip -- y&r fan was fighting a one-woman (or one-man) battle at some points.

I was hoping people had forgotten that.

Look, I think Sony probably just wanted her on the show and when Leon gained the weight, they decided to kill two birds with one stone. It would probably have worked out better for all involved if she'd been cast as a character other than Colleen (maybe some relative of Cane's or something) but by the end of her run I thought she'd done a pretty decent job of making Colleen her own (especially after Brad's death. Certainly stronger than Khalil's Lily.

ETA: What I hate is that Sony and MAB thought so little of the Colleen character that they willingly destroyed her when TS wanted out to do other projects. Not blaming Sursok -- she wants a career outside Daytime anyway and seemed to have a bunch of outs in her contract allowing her to do PT shows and movies. But as soon as she definitively moved on, TIIC decided to torpedo and kill off this legacy character immediately instead of resting her and maybe bringing her back at a later stage. It really speaks to the arrogance, lack of foresight or imagination of whoever the hell was running this show in 2009.

She didn't actually want out - MAB fired her out of spite against LML.

I have no problem with MAB firing TS since she was dire, but why the f' did she have to kill off Colleen in such a "permanent" way?

Wait, was this Australian racism? Because even today that is hilarious.

I was watching when Summer was aged it was just last year! They said she 15 when they aged her. Then by fall she was driving and was 16 and then with her recent birthday in December she was said to have turned 17. Now all of a sudden she's 18.

My lord, this show has become boring since Jill Farren Phelps has taken over!

I mean like on a CSPAN level of boring!

I actually turned the TV set completely off halfway through the show and was far more entertained by the silence in the room.

Has Darnell Williams signed a contract with AMC? I hope not - I want more Sarge.

I thought Williams was gone. I wish they would do something more with Christine than have her be all talk no action so far about this civil suit with Phyllis. Does Phyllis even know yet about that kiss with Nick which Phyllis assumed to be Sharon? Lauren and Carmine are hot.

So far under JFP and Griffin I really can't complain too much, probably my biggest complaint is that while what their are airing now is miles better the show doesn't have the Y&R feel to it. I can't describe it.

Heh I remember that too but hey look how Sursok(use to nickname her "suresucks") has had success after the role? The writing was bad and she flopped early on and then just lingered on without being given a second chance at all. Overall though Forsenca and Khalil were acceptable as the teen Colleen and Lily and while Leon and Sherwood were their maturing counterparts. By the time Sursok proved capable it was too late. And I think the TS hate partially fueled the destruction and embarrassment of Colleen in her final months.

Hate to double post but one more thing is I never watched GH so I don't fully understand the Steve Burton hate but I think he's been ok as Dylan so far. From a longtime Y&R viewer perspective the role is pretty simple, another spoiler for Nick and Sharon and it could have been easily filled by another name star whether it be Paul Anthony Stewart or Austin Peck(god can you imagine).

No, Phyllis doesn't know that it was Christine who was kissing Nick that night.

But that's the thing - the Sursok hate had died down a lot by the time Colleen was humiliated and killed. Fans were starting to accept her when she was feuding with Victor after Brad's death and reconnecting with JT.

No, Phyllis doesn't know that it was Christine who was kissing Nick that night.

And may it never be spoken of again.

I don't remember any acceptance around these parts. Her scenes against Eric Braeden were laughable.

Well not so much around these parts. But I find the SON concensus quite often goes against the general concensus.
