Not a shock. I'm sure he wasnt happy at GH and he will probably get the favored writing he had at GH for years. My sympathies to Y&R viewers.

The ones that are left...

Does Y&R tape closer to where Burton lives? Otherwise this makes no sense

I'm sure the Nashville stuff was bogus. It was about his ego and the fact that he and gummy bear mobster don't rule the show anymore. LMAO!

I just feel for the poor Y&R viewers and actors that will bear witness to his undeserved rise to lead status via bootleg Janet Wood.

Anyone who believed Steve left GH because of Nashville, I'm sorry you fell for it. Steve left because he didn't get along with the shows EP and didn't care for the writing direction Jason was headed into.

How was he doing his filming at GH? Would it be similar to what he would have to do at Y&R?

Y&R has been going through an identity crisis for quite some time. This only adds to it. I thought JFP/JG came in to restore the show's unique identity after MAB's funhouse mirror reflection of Bill Bell's vision. Besides that, ratings/demos at GH are actually up since his departure, so what could he possibly bring to Y&R?

no offense but do people really know JFP to think she's going to do anything good for Y&R lol.

I have to LMAO, I thought she'd do something like this.

Ha! I smirk in satisfaction at being right. I cannot believe that people actually believed that Burton wanted to leave GH. He quit because he was not happy with Jason getting a rival in McBain. His ego could not take it.

I wonder what happens to him at Y&R. There are already so many huge egos there. He will be clawing for airtime after his initial big story.

His ego isn't good for Y&R. I haven't enjoyed Josh Griffith's writing, but this is making me irritated with JFP now. What is the purpose of him on the show? The show needs leading ladies, not more leading men. And we KNOW he's going to be an airhog. He isn't going to leave GH over diva issues to come to Y&R and play second fiddle to anybody. They're doing the same thing MAB did in terms of casting

I have nothing against Burton but I feel bad for Y&R. JFP's insistence on being a cash machine for her friends is not what they need.
