Because Y&R doesn't appreciate its own talent.

On Mab's Y&R Billy would be the one to drunkenly run over his mother and kill her.

And worse, she'd make it seem like Jill was in the wrong for being in front of the car and not taking away Billy's keys like a good parent would have.

And Ghost Jill would've came to tell Billy it's not his fault, and how she should've been a better parent so he shouldn't feel guilty. And of course Genevieve would be bad mouthing her at the funeral.

I don't know why they're just now reporting it, but Julia Pace Mitchell was bumped to recurring a while ago. That wasn't a JFP decision. Mitchell has mentioned it on both Twitter and Facebook WEEKS ago.

I like Sarge. Darnell's one of the few people Peter Bergman actually has any sort of chemistry with.

They could be the Otalia of Y&R.

The Young and the Restless showrunner Jill Farren Phelps is continuing her "I Come in Peace" press tour. Here's what the producer said in the Sept. 24 issue of Soap Opera Digest when asked about her reputation for being a taskmaster:

"I'm not as tough as people think I am. I'm just a hardworking woman who was extremely fortunate to have found this world of daytime fairly young in my life. I had many jobs in daytime before I ever executive-produced, and I have a real appreciation for the hard work everyone does to make a show like this. What we do is very difficult, so I think it's important to have a sense of humor. I think if you ask the people with whom I've worked, they'll tell you that I bring a sense of family to where I go."

In the same interview JFP had this to say on Genie Francis:

'I was the music director [at General Hospital] when Luke and Laura got married, so I've known Genie since she was a very young girl — and I was a very young girl. I think she's a wonderful actress and I'm very fond of her. There is no personal acrimony between us."

Daytime just wouldn't be any fun without Jill. LOL!

While I still believe something went down between Genie and Jill back in 2001, I don't think her recent firing was personal at all. Genie and Genevieve never fit into Y&R and needed to go the day she came.

Genie was hired as a kick in the teeth to MTS, but it backfired because Genie and GenV were major suckage from the word, Go! The character was ill conceived and Genie showed she can only play Laura, and any sucky character created for her on the Hallmark network.

They went back and forth between trying to make her NuNikki and NuJill and neither worked.

I think that new actress might be Cane's sister Samantha.
