I think they could free John up without having to kill his son. I would much rather see him as a single Dad rather then him going back to brooding!

Killing Liam makes it possible for John and Sam to bond over their dead kids.

People kept saying they needed to do something with Natalie because John couldn't be in Port Charles macking on Sam and now they did. It's actually kinda funny because they were swearing up and down Natalie just *had* to be in Port Charles to give Jolie closure and RC said nah, I'll just kill her and Liam off instead.

Fake death... real death... whatever. GH finally did something so folks can stop their bitchin'. But this will give the same folks a reason to bitch some more.

I doubt this was done to stop people from bitching, or that RC was reacting based on fans. He didn't care about Natalie, or Liam, so my guess is he was just waiting to kill the characters off after a long enough space of time from killing off Cole and Hope.

I don't see why people should not complain about the laziness of killing off characters over and over and over just because a hack can't write for them. Of course viewers are going to question why someone would shove his tongue down a stranger's throat while supposedly in a relationship. If RC was so concerned about bitching, then he could have broken them up offcamera. I guess that would have meant a story which involved planning, not cheap shock value.

The biggest failing of this story - if it happens - is that RC never, ever wrote any scenes which showed John having any use for his son. He dumped the kid not once, not twice, but three times, and did so very happily. So seeing Michael Easton do his Mick Jagger impersonation is not going to work, just as his atrocious acting over Dawn of the Dead did not work.

Hold up, I knew they killed off Cole, but Hope is dead as well ohmy.png ?

Yep. Hope can have a playdate with Liam and Victor Jr. at the Afterlife playground.

I didn't even realize that this many children died over the past few months.

And Sam thinks her baby is dead. There are WAY too many dead baby plots on this show

Who said they are dead?

What is your source? Really can't see RC killing Natalie off no matter how much he wants John and Sam together bc they will only last until all the truth about the baby switch comes out.

Who said they are dead?

Who said they arent? A dead baby plot is still a dead baby plot whether the kid is dead or not. It's still a depressing plot device used to make characters grieve, move on and/or quickly tie up a loose end

One of RC many weaknesses is that he loves the crutch of babies as plot points to interfere with couples/triangles but he has no interest in penning anything after the first contraction.
