I cannot wait for what remains of this show to die. Bad with so few soaps left? Maybe. But I'd rather see a show that has lost all of its own identity to play charity case to a cancelled show die with what little dignity it has left than once more pander to characters that did not save THEIR soap from the axe in the first place.

You are my soulmate! I'd rather see the show gone than for this to continue, and I don't care who likes it. Anyone who is for this invasion is not a soap fan and does not give 2 chits about the DEAD genre. They only care about their show. I don't pretend to care about the genre because it's nonexistent. I only cared about GH until the 2 headed hack came along!

This is beating a dead horse. There some here and other boards that no matter what were oposed to the OLTLers coming over including writer & EP even before they filmed anything & it aired. I mean look at some members avatars and signatures and that tells a story. So sorry if your not even going to give an honest to godnesss try at this before hating on it, I cant take you seriously.

I was never opposed to Ron and Frank coming over, I just question the choice of bringing OLTL characters with them. GH has almost 50 years of history, a talented writer could have mined that to bring on antagonists for Sonny and Jason and a love interest for Michael. Someone mentioned that Days brought over Passions actors. The key word is actors, not characters. Rafe, Arianna, and Brady, love 'em or hate 'em, are Days characters, organic to that show.

Look at Y&R under Bill Bell, he never wrote what fans wanted or to fanbases he wrote story he wanted as EP & HW and that show was so successful under his regime. I believe that is what a HW and EP need to do, tell their vision. Yes they know what fans like but its not their job to write only want fans want because your not gonna make all the people happy, all the time.

I agree with this. But on the vision thing, I think people are concerned that Ron and Frank's vision isn't General Hospital but Llanview: The Sequel, and I think that's a valid concern.

I think if some were just more open to change, they would enjoy GH more. Look Guza & crew really did a number on this show for 9 years. He was given a producing credit & too much wiggle room. Yes his scriptwriters wrote some great words but the actions in stories on camera, really dismantled this show & since Frons was present during Wolf's turn as HW, not much changed. Now Frons is gone, runor has it Dummer is giving FV & RC more room to do their vision but 10 years of abuse done to GH is gonna take more than 4 months to clean up.

Guza copied The Sopranos. Carlivarti is copying Dynasty. Neither one is all that original.

I don't think it's fair to blame KA's acting on FL or anyone else. After all she's spent more time with KDP than she ever did with FL, wouldn't it be more likely that KA's acting was influenced more by her on screen mom than anyone else? Why blame the actress who was gone for nearly a decade?

I think Alderson's problem is that she got complacent and never tried to develop her craft. Her brother did outside stuff but to the best of my knowledge KA's energy has been spent on her music "career" while the show took advantage of the nostalgia factor with the character and the actress and let her coast.

There are no more OLTL characters everyone on GH is a GH character. Its not like the Llanview transplants are just in stories with each other. They have had story With Michael, Sonny, Johnny, Anna, Luke, Dante, Jason, Sam, Alexis, Carly, Tracy, Alice, Mac, Milo & Max all of which are long term GH characters. Sorry but I think people just complain to complain

Picky, picky. Please get these characters that used to be OLTL characters off my show!! I don't want them here. I want to see see GH characters like Anna, Felicia, Robert, Holly, etc. (characters that helped this show become #1) get real storylines. They deserve it much more than the former OLTL characters.

Long term means they have been on the show a long time. We have seen Mac and Felecia. Heather is on all the time as is luke and Tracy. Were gonna see More Anna with her new job & it sounds like Felecia and Mac become PI's again.

The only difference between them and newbies is that with newbies we learn their past as we go with the Llanview Transplants their history is already known and the fact they have no major ties to GH characters frees up tons of story possibility

I was trying to figure out where she might have got the idea that screeching is acting and the only hard core shrieker I could think of on OL is FL. You're probably right; that's not fair. There are all kinds of other places KA could have picked up her bad habits. For all we know, she was watching LW on GH because LW is another shrieker. They both use the same ugly mouth expressions to represent anger.

I totally agree about not honing her craft. A really good acting teacher might be able to rid her of some of her worst habits. There are a number of better GH actors than she who are still taking lessons to develop their skills. Maybe she'll decide that's something to pursue.

I totally agree. I am 100% in support of these OLTL characters on GH now. They have not completely taken over the show. There is still plenty of story for the other GHers. And it has actually made John much more likable for me. I was never a fan of his on OLTL but I love him so far on GH.
