I cannot wait for the day when we can stop counting the number of kisses between Will and Sonny, just like any other soap couple.

I hope Tomlin knows he only has limited time to take advantage of this storyline as there is no way in hell Chandler Massey does not jump ship for greener pasteurs come the expiration of his contract.

Massey has a 3 or 4 year contract? If it's a three year one these writers don't have any time to make Sonny and Will viable as a couple. His contract will be up in four to six months time and that is not enough of a lead to cement much of anything but a fling for either characters, and at this point recasting instantly would be like starting from zero. If he signed a four year contract though then they may be able to make something out of it, via Luke and Noah. But this represents a much larger problem to me, this is just another reason in my mind not to invest too much in this pairing. It seems like this ship literally has everything going against it from the beginning starting from the writers initial hesitance, the dragging of the feet of the producers, the pairs questionable chemistry, the viability of the characters and lastly to the commitment of the actors if they are really willing to up and leave with a story virtually untold. It would be a halfway miracle if this story ever takes off and says something substantial. I don't blame either of the actors, but it just makes me distance myself as a viewer to something I am already ambivalent about.

I doubt Massey will have any problems landing work outside of soaps. He did minor work already for networks like HBO, The CW, and Lifetime in addition to his connections at Sony and NBC he will likely be able to land something even if it's sporadic guest work for a year or so. He has a viable look that lends itself well to most casting places and he is attractive enough and young enough to book roles for virtually being a model and looking like handsome window dressing.

Forget Chandler Massey's contract status. DAYS itself is on borrowed time with the network. If someone there doesn't hurry the hell up and at least try to make magic happen somewhere on this show, it's going to go out a hot, bubbling mess.

Soap Opera Fan Week Of Sept 17th

Justin tries being positive about his son’s relationship with Will. Adrienne isn’t feeling the same way. Will walks in on them bickering about it. Adrienne bluntly tells William that he’s very nice but he also has a few screws loose. Will mopes home and cancels his date with Sonny, telling his mom that he’s not good enough for the boy he likes. He blames Sami and Kate for giving him the ‘screw-up’ genes. This leads to Kate and Sami double teaming Adrienne, but she battles them back and insists that Will would break her son’s heart. Still in a fighting mood, Adrienne later winds up having a fight with Maggie about Mel’s wedding. When her son hears about her trashing Will, he gives her a lecture and then runs out to find him. Sonny assures Will that he is good enough for him.

    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
