DAYS: Will & Sonny Spoiler Thread

No HIV scare. For one thing, Marland did that on AS THE WORLD TURNS after Margo was raped. For another, as much as I want to push the envelope (in a SMART way), I am also very concerned about the image of a gay man possibly contracting AIDS through sexual contact and what it might do for viewers. If anyone were to turn up HIV positive, I'd rather it be former porn star Nicole; and even then, I'd want it to happen after she has the marriage and family she's always wanted.

Same goes for one of Will's attackers falling in love with him. He can uncover his own, conflicted feelings about his sexuality and fall in love with Will, but if Will ever reciprocated those feelings, I think I might just cut someone.

I know thats why i suggested it cause of Margo's story. This time its two guys instead of male/female.....Lets just watch and see what crap MarDar left us......and who knows what the new fired writers will give us....

I wouldn't give Will anything which involves a lot of tears and screaming. Massey hams it up and I think it takes away from the point.

I would agree, Carl, except Chandler Massey isn't all convincing with lighter material either. It's another reason why I felt making Will gay was a bad idea. His limited range has to hamstring most writers from telling any story, tragic or not, that would have a deep impact. So I say, ditch the pretty boy, hire someone who can ACT and start telling stories about Will that will have meaning for viewers and get them talking.

But I think I know what is to come...

MarDar: Will spends the next four months alternating between confusion and telling yet one more person that he's gay.

Tomlin & Whitesell: Will shacks up with Marco, the new lifeguard at the Town Square Swimming Pool who came to this country with just the Speedos on his backside.

Days is setting Will up to go BAD, very bad, maybe worse than EJ? And are building a foundation for the SL first so that it will have some sort of impact - there is a reason beyond the gay thing that Will/Marlena are getting so close. He's prob. gonna do something to Nicole or her baby? I'm not sure what, but he's been EJ's henchman for a while and got a taste for it, and I think he's gonna do something huge... IMO he's gonna be Days' own Adam-type (from Y&R) character. It looks to me like we are being shown the 'birth' of a villain...

It wont work.....I flove massey but he cant handle that kind of material.

I'm with SoapSuds. Making Will a villain would be a BAD idea. Massey can't handle the material, and besides, it's important for Will to be the antithesis of his more screwed-up parents, Lucas and Sami.

Will is a grey character, not a villian.

Sorry but Will as hard as they try is not a grey character. Chandler is too pretty to be considered gray. Its just not working for me. For me its more lust for EJ than anything and thats why he is working for him.

I don't think Will is grey either. As a character he is pasty white to me, nothing about him is really malicious in character. He's nothing like Sami was when she was younger - that was evil/dark whatever you want to call it.

I totally read this as "Chandler is too pretty to be considered gay" and was so confused. Bahahahaha. laugh.png

If Chandler were gay in real life...thud.....and the ladies would be crushed....lol......but Chandler being too pretty makes it hard for me to see him as grey character
