Episodes S5 E069 – 105
I appreciate that Bill and Margo are still on the canvas; however, their immediate connection from the first year or two is now gone, and that is beyond disappointing. Plus, the way-too-thick extensions they have in Lauren Koslow's hair look ridiculous. They saw Hunter Tylo and said, "Do this to Koslow!"
I like the introduction of Ruthanne's family. I do hope they stick around for a bit of time. A classic William J. Bell staple!
That reunion was beautifully done. You can sense just how loved Ruthanne felt and how much her children have really missed her.
The Clark and Sally storyline is painful and one that should not have drawn on this long. At all.
Not Bill returning to Margo after having his affair with Julie. Sir, you are an absolute mess.
Ah yes, Stephanie is absolutely doing all of this as a way of regaining access to Eric and ultimately ending Brooke's relationship with him.
Look at you, Ruthanne! Cleaned up and looking stunning! So glad she was able to reclaim her life.
That dress sequence that Clark has was... something. It was eerie and really set the tone. I feel like everyone had a solid time producing them.
Not Sally falling back into old habits where Felicia is concerned. 🤣
The true beginnings of Stephanie and Taylor have begun; she will always connect with anyone who is not Brooke when it comes to Ridge. And confiding in Taylor about how she feels about Eric it a big step in their budding relationship.
Episodes 069 to 105 were a bit of a lull for me. Some good moments, but the stories being told just... did not hit home for me. I see the point of them, but at times, it does give the impression of "trying to right the course we mistakenly traveled down" and a bit of "Let's throw this at the wall and pray it sticks, but we won't wait to see how the audience reacts before we make our decision!" Episode 105 definitely began to re-catch my attention, so I can only hope that the next sequence of episodes pull me back in once again.
