The only reason she stayed at GH this long was figurehead status. Her pattern has always been coming in, doing some stuff to get some attention or praise, then driving the show into the ground. Her GH run was none of that.

Generally JFP seems to favor one older actress existing on the show, but with GH, she didn't seem to care for any of them. I think that may happen again at Y&R if she joins up. I do wonder how she'd deal with actors like Stafford.

Cast changes or not, it would seem Frank isn't going to put his name on garbage so I expect major changes. I thing the show will be good and I expect the fans to be very pleased with the way GH goes out. I don't think there is any hope for the ratings as fans have been played with for far too long. I just hope that the fans are somewhat satisfied with how GH ends. I think OLTL and AMC are shaping up for nice endings, cliffhangers or not. It's MUCH more than us poor P&G soap fans could ask for.

The only way I ever see JFP at Y&R is if CBS, like ABC, wants out of soaps. JFP is good at killing soaps. But that is all. The only soap that did not apply to is Santa Barbara. But that was her first soap, and she is past burnt out now.

True, but I meant actors who were there when JFP arrived. Of the older actresses who were there when JFP arrived, the only one she gave story to was Alexis, perhaps because of her ties to NLG.

You never know, she may have a soft spot for Jess since her character's name is Jill? I think her chances of jumping to Y&R are very slim anyway.

That's actually why I'd like her to go to Y&R. Even if she only lasted a day on set, it would be the worst day of MAB's life.

Iagree with some of that--except FV has been at OLTL for a long time and I would definitely call some of that era (Malone's Santi story being one of the better of the bad stories)--particularly Higley's era as containing their share of garbage

If this is true... wow, I am not a conspiracy theorist by nature, but my mind can't help but go to this idea that Prospect Park and ABC were working closer together than assumed and FV had a contractual insurance policy if TOLN sank. Okay, maybe not. But the writing seems to be on the wall. FV almost certainly comes at a cheaper price than JFP, GH's days are numbered with Katie strolling down the pike, FV is lauded for always having his show under budget, RC was already set to write over at GH, the FV/RC dream team could sail GH into its sunset coming under budget and fracking up the show just awful enough that cancellation seems like a no brainer mercy killing come that time... I don't mean to sound all jaded, but again, if this is true, there is something icky about it.

I wonder if it's more that FV had GH as a backup in case PP fell through. If it hadn't they may have just replaced JFP with someone from the past who would just run out the clock (Shelley Curtis? Francesca James?).
