LOL well I definitely agree there. That said, and I admit I am being completely ridiculous here, but I was nitpicking. they had Thomas, who knows his music and his music terminology, say the reason he disliked Baz's music was it was "atonal" and that wasn't his thing. It's not atonal. It's not even SLIGHTLY atonal. He could say it was unmelodic, or it was too electronic, but from all we've heard it's the opposite of atonal. It's completely based on the 7 tone scale. And Thomas should have known that. ^_^-_-;)

All baz needs is his picnic basket.

The porn stuff is pretty bad. I just laugh through it all. I really dont see the purpose of it.

Roger Howarth....sucked donkey balls on ATWT....so he is truly overrated.

Destiny is bad and her acting hasn't changed since day 1 but neither has JPL......lol His acting might have gotten worse actually.....lol...if thats possible....lol

Andrew Trischetta is ok..he gives those duh looks everytime though.....lol

Baz as a character is not a terrible concept, IMO - if the show were continuing in its current form, you could do a lot with Tomas/Blair/Todd long-term and a worldly teen raised overseas tying Tomas and Tea to the canvas a bit more. I also like Tomas having an interracial son and I even think the electronica angle could have worked, but the writing is so lame and yeah, the actor's not, uh, convincing with the ladies. As it is, the show is going to change dramatically come January, which sadly leaves Tomas and Baz superfluous. Again, though, the writing for this subplot has made it all significantly less sad.

Given his musical past I had always wanted River Carpenter to return as a DJ and start working the club circuit at Llanview doing mash-ups and playing all sorts of neat electronica. I thought that might be neat. What they're doing with Baz's "talents" sounds terrible to the ear.

Vee, I agree with you that Baz as a character isn't a bad idea, I just don't like how instant all of this has become, if that makes sense. Like there hasn't been all that much mentioned even about the fact that they are virtual strangers. There is a bit, but mostly they seem to want to have moved past that. It would be far more interesting if Baz mistrust, or started mistrusting Thomas once they had begun to trust each other, or at least Thomas trusted Baz.

Baz was brought to break up starrJam or keep Starr pure when Cole is back so they could reunite. It seem so fast with Baz like I'm supposed to care about a character that quickly. Unfortunately I don't like Baz at all, the character just come across annoying to me. I have a small theory that the writers replace James with Baz IMO.

I'm fine with the story, really - aside from aspects of the execution which are very poor - because in the last five or so years they began systematically decimating Todd's character until there was nothing left. All this story validates for me is that the real Todd Manning would never, ever, ever do what he did to Marty twice, or what he did to Starr, to Jessica and Chloe, what he let Jack get away with, and on and on. This gives me back a Todd I can believe in, instead of some clever sociopath. The key to the character's longevity was that he always had at least some shred of a soul. TSJ's Todd gave that away a couple years ago.

RH's Todd was allowing Starr to put piranha in Max's bathtubs. He was teaching her how to be a cyberterrorist by the age of 8, trying to put viruses on Buchanan's computer system. He taught her more bad than TSJ has Jack. As far as Marty, Todd was clearly insane in that story. He wouldnt have done it in his right mind and I thought the show did a good job at expressing just that. Its hard to see RH not be regarded as a clever sociopath bc he was. The man killed Guy Armitage and had no remorse for that and then he tried to frame Patrick for it. The same man that held nearly a dozen people hostage with the fear that he had a bomb ready to blow them all up, and then exploited and used his sister's mental illness which she got as a result of being raped to manipulate the system into getting him free. The same man who punched his wife in the face, threw her out in the cold, nearly naked. The same man who would use his child as a weapon, teaching her to hate her mother, just so he could get his sick need for revenge. The same man that couldnt bear to raise another man's child, so he stole his fiancee's baby, gave him away to strangers and told her he was dead, only to convince her to adopt the child after he learned he was the father. Todd also manipulated Blair by hiring people to pretend they were in the mob and staged the death of her hired nanny. She was literally in feat of her life and he used that danger to try and coerce her into marrying him. He shot RJ just to get him out of hte picture so he could take Tea. He terorrized and tried to rape Nora. He kidnapped his niece, Natalie and gave her to Mitch Laurence, (whom he knew raped his sister and tried to rape Natalie earlier) whom was ready to cut her heart out. When confronted about that by Viki, he proceeded to laugh it off and crack jokes. And this guy wasnt a sociopath?

What I see with TSJ is very consistent with Todd under RH. Both were awful people who did awful things to those they claimed to love. I would say only Higley's Todd seeemed off bc that was the only time Todd was a true victim, but other than that, I could easily see everything else as a natural extension of RH's run. It's all stuff the character would have done as he's done worse in the past.
