A couple questions (sorry if this has been discussed before):

What's going on with the end credits for the early 1990 episodes? Seems like they're just repeating the same one (Deveney Marking directing, Maria Arena script) over and over, having replaced the actual credits. Does this go on for a while?

The 1997 episodes being uploaded to YT right now have zero background music. Surely this isn't how they were broadcast? What's going on over there?! LOL

On the Videoland there is already E2030 and we have only E1910 so far. Is there any chance of getting at least some small update soon?

I wish any VPN would work in my country, as there are many USA old shows/series I'd like to watch and they're available only on some foreign streaming services which are blocked for many countries.

I have no idea why are they blocking these kind of things as many people are willing to pay to see it in good video quality.

The Vault has not been working or accepting uploads for several weeks (both the B&B and Y&R/GL vaults). I spoke to @ChickenNuggetz92 and he said he will have to change it over to a new account again, which takes some time. So I guess once that is done we will get a big batch of episodes all at once which is what happened last time. Of course if some angel wants to share via mega/dropmefiles/mediafire etc that would be wonderful and appreciated.

I’m not watching the YouTube uploads for this season, but even with Videoland the closing titles for 1987-1990 episodes have been sometimes “fishy”, meaning not in sync of what we have seen onscreen and it sometimes appeared to be the same credits for many episodes. As for the 1997 episodes: they are simply messing things up. We have discussed this a couple of pages back...

Thanks for the detailed recap. I noticed this, too, and was completely unaware during the original watch that Taylor's story was botched up repeatedly probably due to Tylo's outs.

@slick jonesand other trivia buffs: Any idea who played DR. PARMELL in #1850? a doctor with whom Eric is discussing the proecure of having a vasectomy.

The longest commitment she gave the show was 97 - 2002. There were still rumors in there she would leave but she never did (I think partly because she had the Spelling court case during that early period). Apparently Bill Bell wouldn't even entertain the thought of recasting. Someone from Twitter posted an old interview with HT where she said a part of what the issue in 2002 was that she had always dealt with Bill and not Brad when it came to having outs or being able to explore other things but by that time Bill already had early onset Alzheimers so she dealt solely with Brad.

It's interesting that even Brad ended up calling and asking her Back

    • Sounds like me, but I prefer to be referred to as Contessa. We all know I can go a long time not paying attention to certain things.
    • That did cross my mind at first, but I'd be more inclined to believe it if this didn't involve Trump. I'm not at all sure he is capable of being that sneaky. Of course, there's always a possibility I guess that his advisors are doing it without telling him, but that seems awfully risky. Trump is such a loose cannon you can never predict what he's going to do or say.
    • Whoa. She should have fought like hell to get that. Was it the greatest show ever? No, but it had a fantastic cast and was practically guaranteed to last multiple seasons because of its star power. Could have certainly led to bigger and better things. If it had flopped she could have always gone back to soaps. Judith Light broke through on a sitcom where she was basically second banana to Tony Danza. That grew into a very busy and distinguished career. The woman is still regularly booked to this day.
    • I could understand her being frustrated by the fact that she'd been in the business 10+ years at that point, and probably couldn't even get in the door. But then again, she'd already gone out for pilot season once (that we know of) and she and  her agent knew a 35-ish woman had a very difficult time in Hollywood. I know she did a few guest spots, but other than Designing Women, nothing I saw--not even a Murder She Wrote, and that show had tons of ex-soapers on it. I mean, God bless Marilu Henner, but even having been on Taxi, she couldn't get arrested for years either.
    • I didn't rewatch that period, so I'm not really sure how much Bill is on. I recall something about him living at the boardinghouse. I think Van made Matt his guardian, and why she didn't name Josh would be a mystery to me, other than the HW decided they needed to keep Bill in Matt's sphere. Nola is also his aunt, although they don't know each other well, and Van wouldn't have trusted her anyway. There's Dinah---but she's unreliable. Billy gets out of jail around NYE.

    • That's on Kimmer. As someone posted above...she was offered roles in pilots but she would be part of an ensemble or supporting. She didn't want that so she came back to GL. I don't know what she thought would happen..someone offering her "Here's Kimmer!" or The "Zimmer Comedy Powerhouse Hour" variety show..but her housefrau fans did not have the same pull in HW as they did on the soaps. Forbes and Watros knew that you had to take small parts to get noticed ands start a career in primetime. I know she was in consideration for the wife in Evening Shade, but when you go up against Marilou Henner, the soap diva looses. I could see her frustrated in a role like that, where she has to be the understanding wife with a bit of sass, but she could have made it work, if it wasnt for her huge ego.  I think it would have been an issue haveing all the powerhouse comedy actors surrounding...(lets face it..Alice Ghostly woudl have wiped the floor with her...) but it would have been a good launching padd.
    • Oh good, so I don't have to wait too long haha. I'm glad she cares about seeing Bill graduate. I'm guessing I'm in for a bumpy ride between Bill and Matt, if he's going to be his caretaker? Who else could it be, maybe Josh?

    • Maeve makes a few sporadic appearances, but returns full-time the next spring/summer. She's back in time to see Bill and Michelle graduate, although she skulks around town and wasn't going to tell anyone she was alive. She comes back wearing this HUGE hat---which was a throwback to the old Vanesaa. lol.
