Mulder wrote: Fantasia didn't disappear in 2 months. She was on the R&B/Urban charts for about a year with 4 different songs from her debut cd. She didn't have much Top 40 success but she's hard at work on a new cd that is supposed to come out later in the year.

I agree with this. Fantasia isn't a mainstream/crossover "hit," but in the "R+B circle" she is very successful and respected. Fantasia has a TV-movie in the works about her troubled childhood that is going to air on Lifetime sometime this year.

The last I heard about Ruben, he released a Gospel album. I can't comment on it's success as I don't follow Gospel music  He also started up the Ruben Studdard Music Foundation (or something like that) that helps kids. He's doing his thing but he isn't getting a lot of press

As for Taylor vs. Katharine, I was dreading this final. I was hoping Elliott would make it through. I think (and hope) Taylor wins because I can't stand Katharine. I won't be buying any of these people's CDs.

Ruben/Clay I believe *was* the closest they've had.

But I'm positive about the Carrie/Bo thing. Although the source I think was Fox News, so, take it for what you will ... lol.

Not sure about Kelly/Justin or Fantasia/Diana though ...

Oh, to add, Vote for the Worst is endorsing Taylor and they have been since Kellie was voted out.

VFTW also takes the credit for Carrie winning AI4, which I sincerely doubt. They don't have THAT much influence.

If the gay online scandal did not come up, Clay would've released his 2nd (3rd if you count the Christmas album) album by now. A lot of stuff went down so Clay is laying low, and will make an album of just remakes (cop-out)

Hi, I'm a huge AI fan. Huge Chris Daughtry fan and so sad he isn't in the finals as he should be. My perfect two would be Chris and Elliott. Kat is the girl now and I hope she wins big. Last year was fabulous. I loved Bo most of course since rock if my style, but Carrie has done a great job so I'm not complaining. Especially since Bo is doing great as I hope Chris does, too.

Is anyone planning on going to any of the AI summer concerts this year? I've went the last 2 years when they've come to Green Bay, but this year they aren't coming here.....guess they're too big for a smaller venue. Bummer!

Same thing happened to me! I've gone the last 2 years. 1 year was in my own town and the other was in a town close by and the tour isn't coming to either town this year. I'm pissed, because I don't think I can go this year then.

 about Fantasia.

But to her credit, she does have a TV movie coming out to Lifetime, for what that's worth.

Carrie has four Country Music Award nominations, which is, in my opinon, fan-freaking-tastic for someone who won American Idol only a year ago.

And frankly, since everyone is thinking Taylor will win, I'm going to continue saying the surprise of the season will come when Katharine McPhee wins :P

    • Thanks for sharing; the set, wow. Ten times better than the "penthouse" she lives in now (is that a surprise, though?).

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.
    • He also was following Holly May 22, 2025 per update (link to post) from @JAS0N47
    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
