I watched almost all of this, in real time, with no recording devices and nobody in real life to discuss it with.  I didn't have soap magazines, so I had no way to fill in any episodes I missed.  But most of this is very familiar to me. Hard to believe it's been 49 years!
I remember all of this except for Matt McAllister.  But I do remember seeing a clip of Matt McAllister in this thread a few months ago.
I remember Jenny being a nun but I don't remember anything about her having been a missionary in another country.

It would be an exaggeration to say I remember it vividly -- it's tiny bits of memories from decades ago, so it's now quite fuzzy in my mind.  But when I was watching, I felt it vividly -- I guess I can say I remember my own vivid emotions that I felt while watching.

OLTL 1976 Pt 2

Dorian throws an elegant party at Llanfair, the Lord mansion, and unveils in the library a portrait of herself painted by the same artist whose painting of the late Eugenia Lord, Viki’s mother, had always hung in this spot. The next day Victor brings her mother’s picture to Viki’s home, saying that Dorian thought she would want to have it. When Viki demurs, explaining that the portrait seems to belong at Llanfair, Victor  points out that it should be wherever Eugenia’s memory is revered.

When Tony questions Pat about the party at his father’s house, she notes that he’s quite interested for someone who insists he doesn’t care at all. Pat then accuses Tony of hatching his scheme to open a topless singles’ bar within view of Llanfair, just to embarrass Victor. When he asks why she’s interested, Pat replies that she cares what happens to him.

Joe’s reaction to her pregnancy is so incredibly joyous that Viki can’t bring herself to spoil it by telling him the bad news. This upsets Larry, who warns her that if Joe learns the truth from another source, he’ll never forgive her. Viki defensively insists that the baby’s heart will be perfect and Joe won’t have reason to blame her for keeping silent. But Viki has nightmares about the birth of the baby, and tells a concerned Joe of a dream having to do with Dorian being the doctor. When he tells her he’d like to name the baby for her father if it’s a boy, Viki tells herself ‘she can’t destroy it for him; she has to risk keeping silent. She then informs Larry that she will tell Joe but plans to wait until she’s past the point of considering an abortion.

When Larry tries to shake her conviction that she knows the baby will be perfect, she admits that it may not be, but adds that it’s enough that she has to carry the fears and worry. If the baby’s affected, there will be enough time for Joe to suffer afterward.

Vince, who has had to deal with the realization that his days with the police department are over because of a lack of funding for city services, fears he’ll spend the rest of his life at his present security-guard job, which he hates. He is stunned to find Jenny wearing Tim’s engagement ring, and warns Tim that God will punish them for this.

Tony is bitter when his liquor-license request is turned down, and Victor quickly admits that he arranged it to protect the Lord name and reputation from embarrassment. Tony threatens to use Victor’s highhanded tactics to cut him out of the Chronicle job in retaliation, but Victor decides to let Tony go ahead with his club. Pleased that his chances for success now seem assured, Tony asks Cathy to marry him, but she asks that they just let things go on as they have. Cathy is stunned to learn of Viki’s pregnancy—everything always works out for Viki.

Pat’s husband, Paul, is killed in a police shootout  in a burning building, and Pat, having brought her son Brian to Llanview, where she’ s rented the house next door to the Craigs’, is horrified when the school children taunt him by calling him the son of a criminal. When Tony tells Pat he’s been turned down for a development loan, she suggests that he offer Victor the chance to back him as a business proposition. Tony refuses, saying all that Victor has given him is the conviction that he would never abandon a child of his own. As he muses over his life and his lack of family, Pat tells herself she can’t tell Tony the truth that Brian is his son.

Dorian, having extended her power base by persuading Victor to name her to the Banner’s board of directors, uses lip service to encourage Tony to reconcile with his father, but privately tells Victor that Tony is adamant about having no improvement in their relationship. Dorian loudly broadcasts her desire not to be informed of the changes Victor makes in his will, but manages to overhear much of the conversation with his attorney. She learns that his lawyer’s main concern is assuring that the reappearance of his son and his recent marriage to Dorian don’t affect existing trust and direct bequest provisions, that the will be as airtight as possible. Victor explains to the attorney that if he had the time, he could have trained Dorian to take over the complex Lord Enterprises at his death, but now it’s too late and he has decided that the corporation should remain under the direction of the Lord Foundation  trustees, with Viki to be executor of the will.

When Victor tells Dorian this, she asks if Viki actually wants this responsibility. Victor replies that she can handle it with Joe to help her. Viki accepts the appointment, pleasing Victor, who notes to Dorian, “Accidents do happen, my dear.”

I was watching the 28:44 edit of All the Tour Llandview Openings from 1984-1991 (which I assume is most of the Rauch era).

Any way, I could name 95% of the characters (or I knew what story they were a part of).  But, who's this?

I attached the link, but be warned, that theme song is an earworm (here's where ya go when it looks like the rain won't).

In my fanfic reboot, this would've all foreshadowed Viki finding her daughter Megan.  They could've saved money on all that Eterna mishegoss.

And, given justice to Cathy Craig for being gaslighted by Tony and Joe.  She wasn't always unstable, but the guys she liked always lied to her as if she couldn't cope with the slightest bit of stress.  Meanwhile, she was probably a much more talented writer than Joe.

Side note: It is ironic that Dr. Danny and Megan Gordon were on screen at the same time.  He dated, her lover's younger sister. But, if she was born when Viki was 17, and Danny was born in 1971, she would've been at least five to ten years older than him.

1976 Pt 3

Jenny has now left the order, but her recuperation  at the Craig home is hampered by pain and dizziness. Jenny admits to Larry it may be fear of her future that’s hampering her recovery, and she and Tim to put off the wedding. But suddenly she’s overcome by a presentiment of fear and anxiously tells Tim they must be married right away. They arrange a wedding for the following week and rent an apartment. Celebrating there with champagne, Jenny gently refuses Tim’s suggestion that they fulfill their love there by explaining that she wants to bring perfect love, without guilt, to their marriage, to give herself to him without guilt and as a gift of married love. But the following day, while she is making plans for the ceremony, Jenny’s world crashes as Vince, desperate to stop what he feels will be sacrilege, argues  with Tim, shouting again that God will seek revenge. Tim, at the top of the stair landing, turns to swing at Vinnie and falls the entire flight of stairs. Jenny insists that their marriage take place immediately upon his return to consciousness, and they are married in his hospital room.

Tim’s condition worsens - shortly, and just before he’s to be taken to surgery, as he and Jenny talk about the love they share, he tells her, “If I don’t make it, you go on. I don’t want you sitting around grieving over me, because I love you too much. Live a good full life.” Jenny assures him they'll live that life together, telling him he must believe that. Tim replies, “Oh God, I want to,” and then he dies.

Vince is going through hell, feeling that he killed Tim, and his pain only begins to be assuaged when Jenny compassionately and honestly tells him she doesn’t blame him and she’s sure God doesn’t either. Tim’s sister Julie flies from Florida for the funeral, then asks her mother if she wants her to stay, saying that they need each other. Ellen, however, tells, her  daughter she must go back to the new life she has made for herself; to delay would only make the goodbyes harder. Ellen offers Jenny some of Tim’s personal possessions, but Jenny gently declines, explaining  that Tim will always be with her and she doesn’t need his material things

Viki was planning to tell Joe about the medical problem when news of Tim’s death came, and after the funeral Joe suggests that if the baby is a boy, they could name him Tim, and this Tim would live a long, full life. That decides Viki once and for all. She tells Larry she just won’t risk telling Joe after everything that has happened, and that’s final.

Since her refusal of his marriage proposal, things have been strained between Tony and Cathy, and Pat, wanting to see Tony happy, pushes Cathy to make the first move—if not a phone call, then at least attendance at the opening of his club, Tony’s Place. The Opening is a great success, but Pat, hearing Tony sing “I’ve Been Alone Too Long,” remembers only that Tony sang that song to her so many years ago in Rio. Dorian manages to leave early with Victor by telling him she’s suffering a headache, and then tells Tony, when he calls the following morning, that their noticeably early departure was Victor’s decision, as he had business meetings the following day. When Tony follows up his call with a visit to his father, Dorian, who worked her way into her preferred position as lady of the house by treating Victor during his heart attack, turns Tony away, claiming that Victor has had too much stress lately and can’t hold up under a visit from Tony. Concerned, Tony leaves a note for his father, which Chapin, Victor’s butler, sees Dorian destroy.

Dorian then instructs Chapin that Tony is not to be admitted to see Victor, and when Chapin replies that Victor has ordered that Tony’s visits and calls go through immediately, Dorian countermands those instructions, citing Victor’s health as the reason. When Victor asks Dorian to ease up on Chapin, as Viki has mentioned that Chapin is unhappy, Dorian makes it clear to the faithful retainer that unless he follows her orders explicitly, his years of service to the Lords will be over.  Dorian and Victor give a dinner in honor of successful enabling legislation licensing Peter Jansson to practice medicine, and Tony later learns from Jenny that Victor is fine. Realizing that Dorian stands between them, Tony races out to Llanfair to tell his father what he’s married to.  Tony confronts his father with Dorian’s schemes, concluding with the revelation that Dorian and her accomplice Matt McAllister knew Tony was Victor Lord’s son but kept the knowledge from him for personal gain. Victor adamantly refuses to believe’ Dorian could betray him this way, but after Tony’s gone Chapin confirms many of Tony’s accusations. When Victor faces Dorian with Tony’s accusations, she evades by insisting that this isn’t rational and she won’t discuss any of it.But, hearing Victor calling his lawyer, Dorian angrily accuses her husband of having judged her and found her guilty. When he concurs, saying he believes his son, Dorian bitterly  snaps, “All right. Yes. I knew Tony was your son!” She then pours out the entire plan of how, when she  was fired from the hospital, she vowed to get enough money and power to control Llanview and everyone in it. When Tony came along, he was a threat to her plan, and she tried to get rid of him. But, she reminds Victor, she saved his life medically and has given him something to live for; she has been a good wife and hostess. Because of that, she deserves what she has; she has paid for it!

Victor, her words hitting upon him like tidal waves, pleads, “Dorian, don’t say any more,” as .he moves to the sofa, where he collapses, suffering a massive stroke.

@Errol there seems to be a malfunction in quoting that started happening a week or two ago.
PersonA posts something.  PersonB quotes PersonA and replies.  Then PersonC tries to quote what PersonB had quoted, and the *result* is that the original thing that PersonA said, becomes quoted as if had been originally said by PersonB.

For example - PaulRaven posted on prior page this
 (Link to PaulRaven original post)

Then I myself janea4old quoted PaulRaven and replied
(Link.to.janea4old.quote.of.Paul.Raven.and.reply)

Then @j swift tried to cite my PaulRaven quote,
But the result was that PaulRaven's words were attributed to me janea4old.
That happened above (Link to misattribution)

Screencap of the glitch with misattribution of Paul's words to me:

*** Sorry everyone, I don't want to derail this thread, just wanted to post what happened on the page where it happened so that Errol could see it in context.

J_swift is not to blame.
My theory is that this is a messageboard technical glitch.  I've seen this happen several times with various posters on various threads over the past week or two.  Quoted quotes being misattributed, and it happens with experienced posters who usually don't err in this way.  So I think there's a technical glitch in nested quoting.

Edit to add: I started a tech support thread about this quoting glitch since there have been various instances.

I remember watching a great deal of these scenes in all of your 1976 Pt 3.
Amazing!
And you are at the all time classic part of Dorian scheming against Victor.  Dorian was totally unsympathetic then, a true villain.

    • That could apply to Dani too, and Leslie looking at herself in the mirror being crazy. The gambling scenes were pure fast-forward material.   The best part of the show was seeing Mona.   BTG is slowly becoming background noise when I watch it.
    • It seems like it was tested with all the concern she showed him. Obviously Dani would create a lot more conflict because her sister is Vanessa's best friend, but on the other hand Vanessa could pull the socio-economic class card on Shanice which would make for good conflict.
    • I could buy Belle being drawn to EJ, even being confused/horrified over it... but to actually date/sleep with him is a stretch. Still... this is the soap that had Satan possess a character, underground dungeons, a heart being removed from someone's chest and then slipped back in (Jennifer), and almost every is related by blood and/or marriage... so I can't expect the soap to not have Belle go for it with EJ.
    • Belle doesn't have a "savior complex" she has a half assed martyr hoe complex. See her staying with sponge bob square head Faux Philip(KB)cause he was injured overseas in war & he was "the father of her baby" like it was the 1950s or something. Not out of some true love kinda ish. That's what she told Shawn as to why she couldn't be with him despite cheating with him behind Phil's back. I didn't care but a spade is a spade cause that logic went straight out the window once Shawn moved on with Mimi & stopped letting her string him along. The minute he found someone else & she couldn't string him along while playing house with Phil? It's the minute the facade of her's dropped. Belle just wants to have her cake and eat it too. A self righteous thot who looks down her nose at others Sami, Xander while she lays up with the monster who not only tortured her beloved daddy but her sister & rest of her family. Like her using her daddy "dying" back in 07 as the reason she was having an affair with JKJ Phil & slept with him in her martial bed she shared with her husband. I think it was either before John's funeral or after. Belle's loyalty is too a dick especially one that's not her husbands

Nothing more nothing less you're trying to oversimplify something that doesn't need to be oversimplified. I'm mad big daddy John is going out with his 2 biological kids being dumber then a box of rocks bird brains, who don't even share one brain cell btw the 2 of them. John's legacy deserves better you hear me! 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣 At least he still has Pumpkin Carrie & Paul 🕊
    • They need to put this new Michael on frontburner every day for as long as they can.  They also need to bring in a new love interest (or many) for him.  Give this actor as much material as possible, please! I hope this Drew-Michael nephew-uncle rivalry goes on for the long haul.  I was worried they were leading up to a Drew murder mystery, but that would prematurely end some great long-term soapy storytelling.  The Quartermaines don't need any more dead family members, either.

    • I was cracking up at how Silk Press tried to hump Not Ted's leg as soon as Kat walked in, but her cackling at the end is getting OTT.
    • I think Doug needs to get his own sidepiece, but not Dani. Dani is only tolerable with Andre (and her daughter Chelsea), so let's keep her there. How about Shanice? She seems like she really cares about him as a person.
    • Does anyone know the air date on the very first time Stephanie referred to Brooke as "The Slut from the valley"?
    • Does anyone know the air date of the very first John & Stefano scene? As well as the air date on the very last time they had a scene?
