His death brought so much pointless plot, primarily Natalie vs Marty and Marty going mad. 

I remember not enjoying the show again until Tale of Two Todd's launched. I had given up once they wrote out Rachel, Layla, Fish and Kyle and Viki/Dorian got involved on that ridiculous David shenanigans in summer 2010. 

Indeed-years of story lost over the potential custody plot and they could have involved Layla and Chris in that as well as close friends of Fish and Kyle. I would have liked to see Layla vs. Stacy/Kim. 

One thing I forgot to add-a massive difference in writing for Blair when you see 2009 Blair looking at Todd like a teenager and 2011 Blair angst with RH Todd, which I remember loving. 

I hated Mad Marty. She killed HER DOCTOR and got away with it!  It pissed me off that she got to reunite with Patrick and not pay for this crime.  The doctor was NICE too!

I mean after everything she went through in her life? I always wanted her to have a good ending. I don’t think that the murder was alright but she was quiet out of character anyway.

You know what? Me too! Marty went through H E L L and Back at least twice, it was pain that  made her loose it, I was so glad she finally got a shot at happiness, and in the end she did try to make amends before leaving didn't she?

i will never forget how Marty struggled and got terrorized for years. Ofc she would lose the plot. I always thought she deserved better.

@Joseph I believe she did try to make amends. She has always been my favorite. There is just so much a human being can take. If I remember correctly she did returned to Patrick. I was so happy about it

Todd was sentenced to a prison sentence.   It was an act of God which caused the trainwreck.
