  • I watched OLTL religiously from 1968 to 1983. I find it amusing (well, baffling, really) that complaints about the writing would arise "en masse" about Gordon Russell. From 1968-72, with Agnes Nixon a

This is my thought too. In that 1976 dissertation that was archived online about how a soap is written which covers OLTL at the time (and includes a script) either Sam Hall or Gordon Russell actually

I thought I didn't have my copy of the 1976 dissertation on OLTL and how it is written but I found some of the excerpts (this is badly copied from an old photo copy so all errors are due to copy and p

Wasn't Luna's real name Darlene or something like that? How did she go from a Darlene to a Luna? Was she pregnant IRL while Luna had twins?

  • Member

Darlene is Luna's birth name, yes. She chose the name Luna once she began practicing her New Age religion (was it Wiccan or Pagan? I'm not sure)--Luna is Latin for moon.

Her brothers always called her Darlene, though.

And AFAIK, Susan wasn't pregnant IRL. I don't think she and her husband have any kids.

Thank you, MissLlanviewPA. I was watching a scene between Marty and Dylan from 1997 when they were ending their marriage and he mentioned "Darlene". At first, I had no clue who he was talking about. LOL

Was this one of the Kevins?

Which one of the approximately twelve billion Kevins did you have in mind? LOL

He does resemble Jack Armstrong, who also played Greg Nelson on AMC.

Was this one of the Kevins?

  • Member

Wow, I didn't know anyone besides Larry Lau had played Greg.

Carl, I could not find any of the Lynn Benish (Meredith Lord) interviews you were mentioning on here. If you can find them, please let us know - and thanks!!

That is Dan Gauthier

Yea, that was back when he was first started acting. I think he did a two part Married With Children either that same year or the next one.

Kevin Stapleton and Nathan Fillion are definitely at the top of my list, though Don Jeffcoat wasn't bad. Haven't seen enough of the others to comment one way or the other.

I only saw Chris Mckenna (1990-1993) thru Youtube but I always wonder what Joey would be if OLTL just let him stay & mature in the role.
