April 28, 201114 yr Member Did you see her opening the TVLand Awards? I've wondered if Susan's Liza is named after her. Ha no--no one here aired the TVland awards But I did see her at a casino 3 years back--the ticks were pretty cheap and I couldn't pass up the chance even though she sounded about as "good" as I expected... Yeah she sounded like she'd been gargling vinegar and gravel on the awards. I have a friend who is a HUGE fan and she said that she'd had throat surgery when I asked why she sounded so rough on the Cabaret dvd.
April 28, 201114 yr Member La Lucci on "The Robin Byrd Show"? Oh, that would crack my [!@#$%^&*] up so hard, lol. I mean, not as hard as imagining SL at Applebee's, but still.... Edited April 28, 201114 yr by Khan
April 28, 201114 yr Member Even better? Susan Lucci on "Praise the Lord" w/ Paul and Jan "Yes, My Hair Is Cotton Candy!" Crouch. I can't even.

I have a friend who is a HUGE fan and she said that she'd had throat surgery when I asked why she sounded so rough on the Cabaret dvd. She hasn't sounded really great since the very early 90s though... But it's true. I trhink I have the old Cabaret DVD without any Liza interviews--but her commentary track on Liza with a Z is BRILLIANT--it's like you're there getting drunk with her random observations and the fact she forgets nearly everythought mid sentence but obsesses over her breasts.

April 28, 201114 yr Member Agnes can appear herself and say "You are All My Red-Headed Stepchildren." Thank you! This will keep me laughing all damn day! Even through my two root canals. The rivalry itself, I think, is new. Once it became clear that ABC wasn't going to be running three soaps for long, things got crazy. I agree. I really think it's mainly an internet thing created by bloggers. Back when OLTL was the "Best Show You Aren't Watching" someone got it into their head that the reason for that was AMC gets "more." More promotion, more love, more consideration and all of that came at OLTL's expense. Even now, when OLTL has three more months of life than AMC, Jamey can't pull himself away from that narrative. And when AMC is gone, he'll turn his hate on GH. Edited April 28, 201114 yr by marceline
April 28, 201114 yr Member I guess theres no rumors of the shows going to Cable? Doubt anything will happen but I think a primetime spinoff taking some of the characters in new setting could work
April 28, 201114 yr Member Agnes can appear herself and say "You are All My Red-Headed Stepchildren." The best post EVER in this thread! I love it! And then she can close her special AMC album with a big glamour shot of Erica on the front--fade out. OMG! Ha I don't think I've laughed so hard over anything on this forum... I'm still laughing.
April 28, 201114 yr Member Just read that Susan Lucci will be on the Tonight Show on Friday, 4/29. I'm sure people will have something to say about the fact that she's on Leno instead of Kimmel. I'm assuming this was set up long ago to promote the book. I would much rather watch her sit down with Letterman or even Ferguson who I don't particularly care for because they are sharper than Leno and would make more original LOL-funny observations. Conan would be great too though I'm not sure Fallon is really her speed. And Mo'Nique! "Now. My sista. For-ty-one YEARS. Of YOUR life. Dee-VO-ted. To All. My. Kids. (*applause*) And to be uncereMONiously... dropped. (*mmphs*) For a cookin' show?? (*boos*) Bayyyyyby... when they told me THAT?? I mean Urika KANE y'all. The Le-gend. The I-kawn." (*standing O*) "Ohhh... oh thank you! *wipes tear* Thank you! agnesisbackwe'reingoodhandsplayericakaneforallshe'sworthvoteofconfidenekickingandscreaming..." I can't wait to see her on Leno! I think this is the first time she's ever been on his show. I agree though, Leno has no energy. Her Kimmel appearances have always been good.
