She will be. I'm willing to bet the part of the industry that isn't involved with soaps has no idea what she's saying right now, or much cares.

Hoover! This sh!t just keeps getting realer by the minute.

BUT, while we have the spotlight on us, psychotic soap fans, someone needs to move to the forefront and do something worthwhile that will truly save these soaps. As someone who's been watching ABC Daytime under Frons since he first took the job, I know damn well that we're not saving our shows because we've been loving the last eight years so much. This has to be MORE than just "Keep 'em on the air!" This has to be FIRE. BRIAN. FRONS. Sweeney's a grasp, we can't get to that lousy hack. But we can get Frons. We gotta crack Brian Frons. We crack Frons, and we crack his whole dirty history.

Crack.

If anyone wants to make a serious effort at this it would help if DAYS and GH fans were roused. Those shows have spurned their fans for so long, especially GH, but for many years, no shows had more passionate fan bases than GH and DAYS.

I'm willing to bet this decision has more to do with Hoover's internal issues than the soaps but kudos to their PR people for seizing a PR opportunity. They're going to use this as an opportunity to build goodwill with potential customers and probably reduce their advertising costs.

Ok - it's official - Food Network has an agenda this week. (Some of you may not care, but I think it's VERY interesting!)

Now Iron Chef is on and they are playing the 2006 repeat of Mario Batali (who is no longer an Iron Chef) vs. Richard Blais (Top Chef winner - following Carla Hall's appearance on Paula Deen's show aka "The Chew host").

They rarely show repeats this old.

This move by ABC is the not so unofficial death of all soaps, and while Corday/Higley are doing enough to kill DAYS on their own, at least if a big fuss is made over this move of ABC's there might be more of a chance of the show not being flat out canceled by NBC in 2013.
