April 18, 201115 yr Member not sure exactly what the editorial is saying, that even dead they are dramatic?
April 18, 201115 yr Member Robert Gentry is another one. LOVE him...I will never forgive Felicia Behr for including him in her purge when she started.
April 18, 201115 yr Member not sure exactly what the editorial is saying, that even dead they are dramatic? Maybe just because they seem dead, they always come back to life? Like soap characters? Making fun of soap storylines... or that the soaps aren't really dead and they'll show up somewhere else? Don't get John or Marsha though - random names??? I'm still very curious about this Paula Deen episode! She made an obvious plug for The Chew, yet news only broke last Thursday!!! How far in advance does Paula Deen tape? Obviously the hosts of The Chew knew about their new job before the casts of AMC and OLTL were told the news last week, but how long? I don't like that Paula knew the news and couldn't say anything official on her show, but still decided to throw it in there with her obvious "girl, I need a CHEW" - emphasis on CHEW - used in the most odd way if truly a coincidence (which I don't think is). HMMM
April 18, 201115 yr Webmaster Congrats soap fans. Some of you answered my question correctly and now you are seeing the results of your hard work. Keep on doing it and you will see more results.
April 18, 201115 yr Member What is this, a scavenger hunt? It's not like anything is going to save these shows, Errol. Why not just lay it on the line?
April 18, 201115 yr Member Errol do you think they'd uncancel the soaps if they lose more advertisers? It still seems a long shot. Besides who's to say Frons wouldn't decimate these shows completely out of revenge? I dunno, Paula Deen says some odd stuff at times and that was probably pre-taped awhile ago
April 18, 201115 yr Member I still can't believe it, wow It definitely implies some sponsors are just as skeptical as the fans are about the financial prosperity of the "innovative" shows coming down the pike to replace the soaps..... isolated incident, or will it cause a chain reaction?
April 18, 201115 yr Member I dunno, Paula Deen says some odd stuff at times and that was probably pre-taped awhile ago I don't think so... If you could see how she said it - it was like she was going to say something, but changed it to CHEW as camera zoomed in bc she thought she could get a plug in as she elbows Carla. Plus, as we've all said before, who uses the word 'chew' when you really want a bite? Chew is so weird to say in that context. Anyway - just interesting! Looks like they are prepping Carla for her big gig by getting in front of the camera on these other little food shows. She doesn't have any hosting experience at all.
April 18, 201115 yr Member Barbara Walters just claimed that Frons was in tears when he had to cancel OLTL and AMC And by "tears," of course, we mean, "Frons laughed so hard, he cried." [Robin Strasser is] going out w/ her middle finger in the air. And a gun in her purse. Am I right, Madea?

April 18, 201115 yr Member Good for Hoover. Glad they are pulling out. Obviously the soaps were making some sort of money for ABC.
April 18, 201115 yr Member Surely there is a way to find very cheap material by startup or frugal directors and producers, with a cast who mostly want to work or to get noticed. If SEARCH FOR TOMORROW could get on the air with branches tied to music stands to suggest trees, windows suspended from the rafters to suggest walls, and still become number-one, anything is possible.
