April 11, 201313 yr Member Behind the scene antics combined with the fact that he was not their first choice anyway. During the first casting they wanted Chad but he booked an outside project at the last minute and dropped out of the running. Once they grew tired of Drew's back stage antics (it was allegedly so bad people no longer wanted to work with him), they decided to fire him. Chad was available at that time so they acted quickly and signed him.

April 11, 201313 yr Member was he sexually harrasing Christian Alexander (Kiefer) or beating his co-starts up? lol, nothing that scandalous
April 12, 201313 yr Member This may have been mentioned, but I wasn't aware of this. Jeff Trachta actually got the part of Thorne Forrester on B&B after he auditioned for the role of Jack Abbott on Y&R. They saw him and decided to replace Clayton Norcross. I admit Clayton was not a great actor, but I thought he was a better Thorne then Jeff. He suited the part more. I wish he had been a stronger actor.
April 28, 201313 yr Member Some rare clips of Elizabeth Savage as Gwyn. A little Deirdre Hall, a little theatrical. She would have been great on Dynasty. I enjoy her relationship with Curtis here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNvF3L92DuU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMaw3vGP5pE
April 28, 201313 yr Member CD sucks so it makes me wonder who their third choice was to play Michael. First choice has no acting skills and the charisma of wallpaper, second choice is a one note yeller.

I mean I couldnt see her being Gwyn during The LOVING MURDERS. Christine Tudor was magnificent then. Edited April 28, 201313 yr by John

April 28, 201313 yr Member Here here! I totally agree with you 200%...the overwhelming tolerance in Llanview was even more unrealistic then Dorian being a lesbian. I had always believed that Ms. Mauceri didn't have an issue with acceptance of gays herlself, but had an issue with Carlotta being tolerant given the character. Not everybody is going to agree with everything, and that's what used to make soaps like OLTL and ALL MY CHILDREN so brilliant. Everybody had a different take on an issue and played into the story. Look at AMC's Vietnam war and how sisters Ruth and Amy were against it, how Phil Brent had to go serve, how it impacted his family and friends, and how Phoebe Tyler was for the war (though poor Ruth Warrick was not). Nowadays, all characters are of the same mind almost. The gay storyline would have been also nice if it had been used to vindicate the character of Clint Buchanan who showed a bit of homophobia during the Billy Douglas story... Speaking of Clint...I was sorry to see the original, Clint Ritchie, never return and Jerry Ver Dorn take over. However, I do think Jerry does very well with the character, given the character 360 and sometimes Ver Dorn actually emulates some of the characteristics Ritchie gave the character. At least Ver Dorn's Clint still wears cowboy boots... Erik Didn't Clint Richie hate that they made Clint Buchanan into a homophobe among other things at that time?? CD sucks so it makes me wonder who their third choice was to play Michael. First choice has no acting skills and the charisma of wallpaper, second choice is a one note yeller. I still hate they replaced Drew Garrett, was it because they wanted to do the prison rape storyline?? lol, nothing that scandalous seriously? what kind of antics did Drew Garrett do???
