May 18, 201214 yr Member I see why they decided to recast Brian, but I feel like the first guy's more All-American image would have made a much better contrast to the kind of hellion Hayley was back then.
May 18, 201214 yr Member They may have thought he was too young. Genie Francis is cheesy as hell in that clip but she works better here than in those somewhat awful feud scenes with Erica. I think Genie should have been kept in the supporting role she had here. I guess that wasn't how she was seen though, given her GH success. David is very handsome but I think it would have been more interesting seeing Lainie deal with Trask and his new "son," and how Brian would react to her. (did Lainie ever interact with Dixie or Will?)
May 18, 201214 yr Member It's just like what's happening to her now at Y&R; GF comes in as a vixen(ish character), comes off as cheesy, and then gets turned into another weepy heroine when it's clear she ain't working out as planned. It's sad, really.
May 18, 201214 yr Author Member The first Brian lasted like 6-8 months though. I dont think it was age, I think it was sex appeal. Gordon was more guy next door where Borlenghi was hUNK. Brian Lane Green the last Brian was just horribly miscast and too old for the part. How does some go from playing Sam Fowler on AW to College kid, Brian Bodine on AMC? May 18, 201214 yr Member Not to mention, effeminate and a total dead-ringer for Rebecca De Mornay, which made buying him as tough-guy Brian more than a little questionable.
May 26, 201214 yr Author Member Shauna Lane-Block as Sarah Horton On Days in 1989. She hugs Mike. If Shauna looks familar thats bcuz she recured on Who's the Boss as sam's friend, Bonnie. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fDzep2TWvWU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
May 28, 201214 yr Member I'll never understand why AW recast Lorna with Robin Christopher. I was trying to get through a 1995 episode which wasn't that great in the first place, and she's just this dull void, draining energy out of any scene.
May 28, 201214 yr Member Dawn Winthrop was amusing. Every time you turned around the role was recast. I think I joked once how TPTB at GH seemingly recast Dawn often in mid-scene.
