June 19, 201213 yr Member I'll never understand why AW recast Lorna with Robin Christopher. I was trying to get through a 1995 episode which wasn't that great in the first place, and she's just this dull void, draining energy out of any scene. Really? I thought Lorna was fabulous - especially around the time of the Cindy story.

Though I just couldn't see Little Bumper.Robinson (Jonah) and Cyndi having an affair. Edited June 20, 201213 yr by Dr Neil Curtis

August 11, 201213 yr Author Member Doees anyone know how long Chip Albers played Curtis on loving. What did people think? Chip looks out of place there but I never saw it live.
August 16, 201213 yr Member Less than a year. He seems a little miscast but fits in better than I'd expected. The material just isn't great. Kristanna Loken as Dani #1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sap9cdXwjb4
August 17, 201213 yr Member One of the recasts I was most disappointed with was Bennye Gatteys replacing Denise Alexander as Susan Martin on DAYS, way back in the early 1970s. Alexander was a passionate, fiery performer, who cried with the the best of them (Susan Martin spent her life sobbing, so an effective weeper was important for the role), and while Gatteys was adequate, she lacked the depth, range and charm Alexander had. Victoria Mallory as Leslie Brooks Elliot on Y&R never worked for me either, and for the same reason. She was a lovely woman and had a great singing voice, but her portrayal of the part was so pallid in comparison to Janice Lynde, who had played Leslie originally. A blurb in Rona Barrett's Daytimers called her performances "colorless", and I felt that that about summed it up.
