During the first casting they wanted Chad but he booked an outside project at the last minute and dropped out of the running. Once they grew tired of Drew's back stage antics (it was allegedly so bad people no longer wanted to work with him), they decided to fire him. Jeff Trachta actually got the part of Thorne Forrester on B&B after he auditioned for the role of Jack Abbott on Y&R. They saw him and decided to replace Clayton Norcross. I admit Clayton was not a great actor, but I thought he was a better Thorne then Jeff. He suited the part more. I wish he had been a stronger actor.
