Terrible news. I enjoyed her on ATWT, even though her Alison was pretty vanilla (which is saying a lot, I know). She had a sweet quality about her. Hoping all the best for her and her family.

 

Am I making this up, or didn’t she debut as Alison on Y&R first then head to ATWT?

Her Allison was more subdued and low key..which I bought cause life handed her some hard knocks.   I don't act know if the previous Allison could have played all that...tbh.

You are right. I think there was an online miniseries and that Kelley Menighan appeared in a few Y&R episodes as well, as Emily. 

 

I will echo what's already being said. During a time when ATWT was definitely not at its best, she did a good job as Alison. I'm very sad to hear about this development, and I truly hope she gets better!

Only in soaps can a meth-addicted pornstar be called "vanilla". LOL. But I get what you're saying. The character did calm down quite a bit towards the end. I actually thought Marnie did a great job of acting when she first came on as one in her meth/porn phase but her character radically changed throughout the time that Marnie played her and Marnie did a good job of playing "both" characters.

I've never seen or heard this personally, but I do remember they did a storyline where Paul had Alison impersonate Rosanna to give Craig a scare.

Within the first two minutes I realize that I've seen this episode somewhere, can't remember where though. This is the opening of the La Placa, Kim and Nick's place, right?  Someone posted this last summer, I think.

I think Oakdalian also used to have this episode up a decade ago but I don't know if it's been on their channel for a long time.
