Despite a noticeable week-to-week drop in the key demos, “GMA3” still saw an increase among Total Viewers, hitting a new season high and marking its best performance in eight months.
“Beyond the Gates” was up in Total Viewers and Women 25-54, but tied its season and series low among Women 18-49.
During the week of December 8-12, 2025, most of daytime broadcast came down from recent season high performances except for “GMA3” on ABC, which set a new high among Total Viewers (1.456 million) and marked its best performance overall since the week of March 31-April 4, 2025. That said, week-to-week, the news program was down 0.05 among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54. Compared to the same week last year, “GMA3” was down 0.04 among Women 18-49 (0.13 rating vs. 0.17 rating) and -0.07 among Women 25-54 (0.19 rating vs. 0.26 rating), but was up 47,000 viewers compared to the same week last year (1.456 million vs. 1.409 million).
“Beyond the Gates” (1.599 million) not only tied “GMA3” among Women 18-49 (0.13 rating), but also tied its season and series low in the category. Additionally, the soap opera has now tied or fallen below the year ago performance of former time slot holder “The Talk” among Women 18-49 for the 10th time in 12 weeks in demo actuals. The new soap opera was one of the few daytime broadcast shows to see week-to-week growth in Total Viewers (+6,000) and Women 25-54 (+0.02), and was up year-over-year versus the year ago performance of “The Talk” among Total Viewers (+297,000) and Women 25-54 (+0.02).
Though down week-to-week across the board, “The View” was up year-over-year among Total Viewers (2.478 million vs. 2.394 million) while flat year-over-year among Women 18-49 (0.22 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.32 rating), with the veteran talk show continuing to rank third among Women 18-49 (tie with “TODAY 3rd Hour”).
“The Young and the Restless” saw a week-to-week drop among Total Viewers (2.841 million vs. 2.992 million), setting a new season low one week after marking a new season high. The long-running soap opera tied “The Bold and the Beautiful” in Women 18-49 (0.19 rating) to rank No. 1 among soaps, though down 0.02 week-to-week (0.19 rating vs. 0.21 rating). The Genoa City-based drama was up 0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.35 rating vs. 0.34 rating), tying with the second half-hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” and “TODAY 3rd Hour” for third place in the demo.
Speaking of “Let’s Make a Deal,” both half hours have thrived in December, posting some of the game show’s best Total Viewer numbers in more than nine months (since the week of February 17-21, 2025), with the second half-hour outranking or tying “The Young and the Restless” among Women 18-49 for the eighth time in 12 weeks and six of the last 12 weeks among Women 25-54.
For the week, the second half-hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” tied “The Bold and the Beautiful” for fourth place among Total Viewers (2.569 million), marking only the second time this season the program has tied or beaten the half-hour soap opera in total audience. Meanwhile, including ties, “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.569 million) has now ranked No. 1 among soaps in the key Women 18-49 sales demo for the ninth time in 12 weeks. Demographically, the series was flat week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.19 rating) but up 0.02 among Women 25-54 (0.32 rating vs. 0.30 rating).
“General Hospital” (1.883 million) saw the smallest week-to-week drop among Total Viewers (-13,000), but saw the largest year-over-year drop among Women 18-49 (-0.09) and Women 25-54 (-0.12).
