Ratings werent that great. The show had 3 million viewers and a 0.8 in the 18-49. Of course Dallas has more viewers in the 25-54 category.

Perhaps it was better off remaining a summer show when scripted shows are at a minimum and there isn't much to watch. There is no shame in that.

Judith is playing Mitch's mother? WTF?!

I decided that I would not tune into Dallas this season because it was such a collosal let down. That and I never liked seeing LH so frail. I hate to have to miss JL, but there is no way I'm going to watch that miscasted younger set! The casting is utterly disturbing!

Judith Light was brilliant last night. The whole Judith is playing Mitch crap doesnt bother me. Dammit..they both can act ...I would be more pissed if the actors were the correct age but couldnt act worth [!@#$%^&*]...lol

Barbara Bel Geddes was less than 10 years older than Larry Hagman. Had this been 30 years ago this would have been a role for a Jane Wyman type, but we are so far removed from old Hollywood that by now there no longer are Jane Wyman types. The only name that is coming to be with no effort that would be age appropriate and right for the role is Angie Dickenson. There just aren't 75 year old actresses anymore like there used to be and if there are, they do comedies.

IMDB has Judith Light's birthdate as February 9, 1949 and Mitch Pileggi's birthdate as April 5, 1952, so a little over 3 years apart in age.

The closest in age parent/child casting that I can think of was on Y&R in the late 1980s when John O'Hurley (IMDB birthdate October 9, 1954) played father to Peter Barton (IMDB birthdate July 19, 1956).

The way she was holding her face, you could almost trick yourself into believing that she's just had a lot of plastic surgery.

The ratings aren't bad and yeah, 18-49 is key but a lot of cable shows get that rating and a lot less than 3 million and if the 25-54 ratings were good then the show is probably going to be fine. TNT pays more attention to 25-54.

To drop that much in your second season is bad.

Not be pulled off the network before the next episode bad, but its bad. Even for cable.

I don't remember seeing alot of advertising for the new day of the week for the show. People just might not have known it was on Monday
