Y&R Stars (or any soap really) who don't get along in real life.

Then, for God's sake, recast. Nick and Victoria need their aunt.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Hunter Tylo, Kimberlin Brown and their respective spouses (at the time) also fall out over some RV deal that went south? Regardless, I wonder if Hunter Tylo ever was this much drama when she was plain old Deborah Morehart on AMC.

I think the last time Roberta came back was in 1998 or 1999. Did they fall out after that?

The Austin Peck rumors always crack me up, mostly because I remember all the problems he caused on the DAYS set in the late 90s after he had been "saved."

Susan really couldn't stand Charlotte Ross, who played Eve Donovan. I don't know where I read that - Susan and Bill's book, maybe? - but I know I have.

Hall didn't like being outshined and getting bad stories upon her return. While Chappell lead the way through 1992, Hall was saddled with the whole Roman/John mess which in 1992 which mainly we saw boil down to Roman and Marlena arguing about Marlena's devotion to John and Roman's devotion to being a cop. Not to mention Carly being buried alive brought in the same if not higher ratings as Marlena's initial return did.

I never understood why Susan Seaforth Hayes was let go in '93. She is the same age as Rogers and just three years older than Hall but was forced out.

I hope SSH slapped the ish out of Kaye. Which sounds bad, I know. She's been on Match Game 74 reruns on GSN lately, and she annoys the crap out of me. She has to get in on EVERY joke and try to get all of the attention on her. You can see that the rest of the panelists can't stand her either.

Frances did mention in her TVLEGENDS interview that Susan didn't really like her and she couldn't tell why... and I think she was a bit foggy on Peggy McKay. Unfortunately at the time of the interview her memory seemed a little hazy.

I've always assumed it was b/c the writers never could find a love interest for Julie that matched Doug; hence, the decision to have her and Doug reunite, then leave town together. But, I'm sure there's more to the story. When it comes to DAYS, apparently, there's always more to the story, lol.

I hated Austin Peck's Jesus Freak ways back on DOOL but it seemed to me that he had given that up by ATWT; I don't read much soap press but I recall an intv where he apologized for his prior behavior and said he'd calmed down. He then went on to actually be appealing on ATWT, IMO. I always thought the rumors of his being ganged up on and thrown off the show - over some affair?! - had a nasty ring of truth to them.

I have never warmed to Eileen Davidson on Y&R. She looks for all the world, and behaves, like an embalmed zombie transvestite at all times. On DOOL it was a totally different story; she seemed young, vibrant and alive, very modern compared to much of the rest of the cast, with a note more of reality than most of her ridiculous stories. It was like she could go anywhere and do anything. I still think she should be back there today.

Victoria Rowell's tweets about Christel Khalil are as embarrassing and unprofessional as Khalil's own notorious behavior, but at least Rowell has a track record of years of solid work to back herself up. No one comes out the winner there. Twitter makes everyone fuckin' crazy. I just put my head in my hands. But I do think VR is an incredible actress who must be employed by a soap, whether she's a handful or not. She's just too good.

    • That was so surprising to me today. I didn’t see any spoilers that this was coming up so I loved it!
    • Well, VI was leaving, and while Long admits that killing him was stupid...I do agree with letting him go with a big bang...body missing.  They spent a lot of time and money on Infinity, (which I think might have gotten a bit of a better reputation had it not been the harbinger of a total tonal change with the Bauers and Reardon's decimated and its all Reva and the Lewis and the weird people hanging out around Kyle) so they needed it to end dramatically. They could have done so much more with having Alex go after Kyle and Billy, but that ends and she starts moping over weird and boring Simon. With Kurt..what were you going to do.. cute but boring and perfect and with ties to no one (they had a nice little thing where Bea took him under her wing when everyone left but then she did too..) If they had the balls they would have had Rick and Mindy jump in the sack ( I know, Mindy should have learned birth control by then) I would have had it be Mindy who knows about Rick's drug use and she tries to help him...(not that nobody who came and went) of course, Kurt and Roxie misunderstand..that on top of her bad Sampson Girl thing leaves him to leave her temporarily, and in grand soap tradition, Rick and Mindy console each other (again, I would write it that they always really did, and Mindy rushed into things with Kurt) and she gets knocked up, and loving Rick but also Kurt she chooses to believe it is Kurts (which I could see Princess Mindy doing "My life is perfect and I will it that way, this is Kurts kid")But, she had the dumb model thing, then she burned down the house he was building, she tried to get prefers and he dies (but also Kobe was the one who built him up, then she was gone when he was let go.) Ross believe it or not is one of the last of the "old guard" characters, beside Ed (who is now FauxEd) and Maureen, and Henry and Van (who is ties to being the Lewis family mope.) JVD has made jokes that they didn't write him out as they simply forgot that he was there! Reva doesn't even call her mother when she comes back! I never saw the use of Sarah but they could have reunited them and sent her and Hawk out of town together. Hell, I don't like the Shaynes but she should have mentioned Roxie and Rusty.  The weird thing is that Dylan had a ton of story and was very important to the Van/Bridget baby custody story. By the time Reva comes back Dylan had only been gone a year so its not like people wouldn't know him..( I liked him and Bridget together...) So he comes back in 97 and acts like it's no big deal Reva is alive so they must have talked off camera. But Reva was too busy squacking about that annoying toothy Marah and blank Shayne to talk about anything else.  It's not quite as weird as Van, who obsessed over Peter, comes back to SF and never mentions him...i.e. "I saw Peter this weekend and he so barely remembers me but he is happy with Bridget and Dylan...")
    • Excellent! The OLTL-GH promo places this and the RH episode (which I assume aired directly before this AMC) as airing during the week of Aug. 20.
    • Thanks! There's never enough early 1980s AMC around.    The only actor I don't recognize is the actress playing Wanda, Mike's agent.
    • lol he sounds like he's speaking as Randy
    • Dani going to Bill's house is karma for how he messes with Martin. It is totally separate, but I can't feel sorry for Bill when he's constantly antagonizing a family he says he wants nothing to do with.
    • I understand what Lois did. I can see everyone's side, even if I don't agree with them.  That  proves it's a good story    Lois is far from ruined
