From that same channel. I don't think I ever saw this before. I wonder if this is the first 4th of July celebration on a soap. We'll never know, but it must be an early one.

Ah! Maybe some day I'll wake up and find you have tagged me on Joan Crawford's episodes - in video! Dreams, dreams! Thank you as always.

Thank you @MissPalmer and @DRW50.

Yes, some of these episodes have been around for a while, but the 1972 color one is new to me.

TSS had been great in earlier years, but I had drifted away from it by the 1972, so I don't even think I watched this color episode way back when.

(It's interesting that episodes which would have seemed inferior in the '70s look so much better today, compared to what soap fans have to endure in 2025.)

@MissPalmer thank you for alerting us to this. Great to see new episodes and in colr.

The 72 episode is from March/April.

Robert Loggia departed late April and Judy Lewis at the same time or shortly after. Loggia only played Frank for a few months. At this point his movie/primetime career was shaky as he had a drinking problem and other issues.

How were they written out?

Ellen Barber was playing Joanna. Slick Jones cast list had Audrey Landers in 72 but now we know Ellen was there sooner.

Was Gabrielle Upton headwriter at this point?

Looks like it was trousers for the women and turtlenecks for the men.

Great!! I am glad you are so happy! And sorry but I didn't know how to tag all of you.

The person who has created this channel is because he/she was fed up with that collector who sold and sells classic episodes and then, he kept the money and didn’t send anything.

It seems there are a lot of fans who were cheated. And no one can play with fans hopes or what is worse with their money.

The creator of this SS channel discovered several older fans who lost money thanks to this collector…so then he/she decided to show to the world all the existing episodes of SS until now. The creator doesn’t know if Youtube will allow that channel in a future, so please, download episodes as fast as you can in case of.

Personally, I am truly happy for this new soap heroe!!!

The whole fatal flaw of these soap collectors - they sit on their episodes and lets them dust in case they can trade rare episodes with other soap fans... but for what really? I guess it's become a cottage industry that's sustaining itself for no other reason than ultimately scam people of money for material they themselves do not own.

This person is IMO doing such a fine thing. Scammers, like the other person you describe are the lowest of the low! And, your advice is sound. Always, if you have the space to do so, download an episode. You never know. You might be saving an episode that otherwise would vanish.

    • You can't have the entire cast on in one episode.  LOL They were not needed for this.  We didn't need to see what their reactions would be.
    • Yup, I went to my grandparents' anniversary party back in the day.

    • They said the teens had gone out for the night. With who? They have no friends to speak of. They should've been there at the party. The excuse was lame.
    • This is how I remember it, too. I remember Evie confronting Rita about her involvement with Tim when she knew she was in love with him. Bawling her eyes out, talking about how she dreamed of marrying and having children with him. It's amazing she and Rita stayed close after that. I don't recall who he left town with. Yes, Holly definitely evolved/grew up after she and Ed split. I remember Lynn Deering as Holly. She was very different from Maureen Garrett. I remember Garrett's first episode. She is a rare example of a recast who caught on with the audience fairly quickly. They were pretty much over--Evie saw them hug goodbye when Hope was about to leave town. She misinterpreted the kiss, fell down and hit her head. That's how she became blind. Robin Mattson was playing Hope at the time. If they didn't want Elvera back in the mid-80s, it could have been interesting if they had brought Robin back to play a Hope with more backbone.
    • "Make them laugh.  Make them cry.  Make them wait."  They nailed the wait part.
    • I really CAN'T with the two dolls comment. It's so cynical. So disgusting. A billionaire telling normal working people this is just... you can't make this sh-t up. That's comics villain level of vile.
    • This episode was on fire and definitely the best the show's done so far.  And of course the two big reasons were TMG and Ambyr Michelle who were phenomenal.  This could be both their Emmy reels.  Sad thing is they will probably be in the Supporting category so only one of them will win.   Claybon was pretty good when Martin confronted his dad. I'm glad to see he's improving.  I also liked that scene with Andre with Eva, showing some compassion with his cousin.  Now that the secret is out, Eva and Leslie can start to interact with more of the cast, like at the end of today's episode with Leslie showing up at the Dupree's.  And hopefully that will help the show be not as boring - this storyline was the only one that was truly interesting, and now it gets to branch out.  Minor nitpicks: bad editing during the Eva/Leslie/Ted scene by themselves, and when Bill was rubbing Hayley's feet.  They gotta clean this up.
    • It's the best episode ... in months.
