That was Chris Samuels.  Chris loves him some Monique.  Has her back and always present.  Not many men put their wives before their mothers (as they should) but Chris did.

And we all know Gizzard is not above lying about couples because no one wants her sour ass.  She was willing to put out a rumor that Chase was not Chris'.

So its very possible that Wendy is insulted because she knows what she has and does not want her husband maligned on this show.

Very possible indeed, and I've not counted that out. It could simply be she does not want him maligned on the show in the eyes of her family and friends, or in the eyes of his employer.

Chris Samuels really put his family first. At reunion he never let the pressure off anybody, and took zero bullsh!t from Andy or the network. Other husbands, recognising the contribution Bravo makes to the household income, might have balked coming up against network brass. But he didn't, because his family was his only priority. He showed everybody up that night.

+1 to all of this. Chris Samuels had one priority while on RHOP and that was protecting his family.

Wendy doesn't want Eddie's name to cross anyone's lips in a negative way.

There was ZERO positive reason for Giselle to bring it up. ZERO. She wanted it to be a 'moment' and so it was, but for all the wrong reasons for her.

POTOMAC

Well, it's clear who's side Candiace is on. And what did Wendy do to her face?

That said...oOOPS.

RHOA

And just like that...next season has a fun storyline.

And speaking of Kenya...this never gets old. lol.

This GWTW Fabulous 'live' performance is so good! I couldn't take my eyes off the backing dancers who were voguing for their lives! Especially Baldylocks who was giving it 2,000%. And the show-stopping finish made me jump! (Mikey and Bamboozle Jayne later 'borrowed' a similar finale when they auditioned dancers on BH).

Wendy lol.... that is one freshly-plumped, shiny cheek.

Candiace thinks she is sooo shady when she pulls that juice-sipping 'Chile' stuff. It is as annoying and fake as Kyle's open mouth of shock.

POTOMAC

In a word...low key.

After the heady heights of last week's fabulous hot mess episode (thank you, Hurricane Ash), it was going to suffer from the abrupt chance in vibe. Still it was a nice coda to the near end of the first cast trip. And goodness knows we know more drama is coming.

But overall it was a kiki for me. Though those battle lines are clearly drawned. GEB vs La Dame/Mia/Wendy and Ashley vs Candiace was a subfeud...I mean in the middle. lol.

LA DAME. NOW KAREN!!!!! REALLY!!!!

Same. I'm not going to lie. I HOLLERED!!!! And like Wendy I would have side-eyed her, too. But darn if it was not funny. Shady AF, but funny. But La Dame brought a lot of funny. And I loved that her and Gizelle shaded each other without batting an eye during the dance competition. It would have been weird IF they did not to be honest. A real sign of a real friendship when one tease the other.

GIZELLE. I'm sorry, but I feel differently. As soon as she made the braids comment, Wendy was not going to take her seriously. Why? Because Gizelle could have said the same thing without a HINT of attitude. No one wants to have attitude thrown at them. More than likely she will get it back. All attitude shows is that one does not care so why should Wendy care back? But given the amount of customer service I have to deal with, if I am being polite to help you, there is no need to act with a funk with me. Nor should you be surprised when you get back what you give out.

 If you catch my drift.

ROBYN. Sorry. Wrong or not, Robyn was just looking for a moment. I know she does not get a lot of them (c)LA DAME, but she can figure something out. Love Drunk Robyn mind you, but that call to Juan who was paying her no mind just shows the disconnect between them to me. Points for being direct to Wendy, but again, that probably was a talk for one on one given that she felt it was so abruptly thrown at her by Wendy and she was truly hurt.

CANDIACE. Really for the video if I'm honest. She was a good host for the most  part. And you can tell she is balancing that line between Wendy's friend and being in with the GEB.

ASHLEY. After last week's messiness, it was funny how irrelevant she was this week. But again...low key.

WENDY. Sorry again. I thought Wendy's tears were genuine. And she does get the right to be in her feelings. If she wants to talk to Gizelle, she will when she is good and ready. It does not look like it will get any better given that After Show clip I posted, but at least they came together when they laughed at Mia's poor pot stirring. Now her vs Robyn...dare I say it...that actually might be a better feud in the making. Robyn seem genuinely hurt that she would bring it up. And now would be great time to remind Robyn that she is Gizelle's shadow and jumps in waaaay tooo much for her as Askale said. And that makes you a target when you jump in when you should not, good friend or not. So association beef indeed.

MIA. Still has a LOT to learn, but at least she's with the winning team.  And as Liberty said, she is most enjoyable with her kids. I do find her uneven at this point in the season, but enjoyable. I'm just ready for the salad toss. lol.

Easy. Breezy. As I like my Potomac episodes...

Even Shahs, which is beyond played out, gets a *huge* artificial boost from airing behind Potomac. You’d think Shahs were one of Bravo’s most thriving shows (if you didn’t actually watch it and see the same toxic fights from 10 years ago).

Yeah, I watched last season and stopped at the reunion because Reza did MJ sooo foul. But I admit I am curious this season at the trashy drama. lol.

But exactly! POTOMAC has truly become THAT CHICK.

    • -- Jesus, that was bad. -- If we're going to bash Will's face-making, we can't let Luna off the hook. All that scrunched-face crying was annoying. -- Still no explanation as to how Luna escape, leading to utter stupidity that she gets away AGAIN while Will just stands there. -- Meanwhile, the entire cast hilariously gets texts about the jail escape and heads to the beach house.

    • I knew Ray Wise looked familiar (beyond How I Met Your Mother, which I also watched, where he replaced Eric Braeden!).

GH really needs to keep the WSB honeypot away from Emma, and especially from Gio. If they want to put the two of them in a triangle with someone, it should definitely be with Trina. And, while I don't like Sidwell or this storyline that much, that was a really good ending. I didn't see it coming either.
    • In regards to Long's 2nd stint, it appears as though she officially came back as head-writer between the 4th of July/Bauer Barbeque episodes 1987 and mid August 1987.. and then between April and September 1988 were episodes written by the scabs.  I almost count her having 3 stints head-writing Guiding Light since the writer strike lasted five months. In her 2nd stint, she seemed focused on the following: - Sonni returning from the dead thus keeping Reva/Josh apart yet again so she naturally turns to Alan and causes the ending of the Vanessa/Alan relationship.   I wonder if Maeve's decision to leave affected some of this because she was gone by January 1988, a few months after Long's return so she had to come up with a way to get Vanessa to take off (and it was to be there for Billy during a low point if I recall). - Phillip/Chelsea were pretty heavily focused on during this 2nd stint period and I liked their rapport. - A lesser focused story in the background was the Lillian/Hawk/Sarah situation - Formulating her next version of the 4 Muskateers with Cam/Dinah/Harley/Alan Michael... but in order to include a more rough around the edges Harley.. Dinah was softened quite a bit (though I did see a cat fight between Harley/Dinah where Dinah belted Harley so I think Turco could have played an edgier Dinah). - There also seemed to be a Spaulding takeover going on with Phillip trying to oust Alan.. and it affected his relationship with Chelsea. Post-writer strike, I noticed that the Phillip/Harley arc kicked into gear with him pretending to be 'my fair lady' with Harley.. but trying to set it up to look as though they were sleeping together.  That arc plus the aftermath of Maeve's death were what Long started when she came back after the strike. I don't know how the Alan/Reva situation would have gone had CB remained in the role and if the writer strike hadn't happened.
    • I've only been solidly watching the show for the first time the past few months. I was familiar with parts of the show and some of the character just from being a soap fan. I do have to say that I am enjoying GH more than any other shows right now. Sure, it has flaws but it seems to move along fairly well, and most of all, the eye-candy. Damn, there are so many cute men on this show. Nathan and Michael are at the top of my list.

    • I have to say that I was honestly surprised by the exit this week. With spoilers and casting news, it is tough to pull off an honest shocker, and this shooting actually made gasp out loud.  I would bet many of you would enjoy it, if you watch it more regularly, I know that has been my experience this month.
    • I believe she is talented and maligned for a reason. I fundamentally disagree with what she thinks soaps should be. And I am far from a traditionalist when it comes to the genre. There are many direct sources of her behavior and bad decisions, and my own eyes watching ratings decline after sweeps bumps on her her shows, it’s pretty clear she survived in power, especially at GH, specifically because the genre was declining. I will not further derail this thread with JFP unless it is pertinent. But I finish with this. She was asked directly over the years if she regretted killing Maureen off from Guiding Light. And for years she said she did. But someone pinned her down when she was at Y&R the first time, Michael Logan perhaps, and she admitted what she regretted and would never do again is making the audience care so much about a character right before killing then off. The tragic nature of the story leading into killing Maureen is what she regrets, not that she misjudged the audience, or that she didn’t have the foresight to see how destabilizing that was going to be for that particular show.
    • If they bring back Connie, that kooky lady who kidnapped Melinda, or if Stephanie's stalker is a crazed fan, or if it is something based on her book, I may pluck an eyelash. I think the misdirect is that the stalker is after Alex, when they are really after Stephanie (unless it is Joy Wesley - that would be a surprise).
