Any other season, I think Brandi returning would be possible. This season, I don't see it happening. Lisa is going to have total fan support this year IMO, and she doesn't want Brandi back at this point.

Good. Glad to hear Dorit is going down. Never bite the hand that feeds you.

Teddi is going to be next too. She is going to feel stupid about allowing Kyle to get in her ear and taking on her battle against LVP, which is what most likely happened.

She is? In the last WWHL of 2018, Kyle was saying how this upcoming season was all about big lies being exposed, the implication being LVP was the big liar. Basically, she, Rinna and to a lesser extent Erika have run a 5-month victory lap around Instagram, cawing with triumph, as if LVP were already gone from BH.

I, too, believed the rumors that a new production team were basically ushering LVP out the door and giving her a terrible edit to boot. Imagine my surprise at the trailer, where LVP jumped out as one of the most sympathetic characters (yes, I know I am biased towards LVP, but I do try to view her somewhat fairly).

And now we have this interview with LVP, which is by far her most open and emotionally honest to date. LVP is always good in her blogs at expressing things clearly, but I was still impressed at how she got to the heart of her feelings and emotions in that interview, and in such a relatable way. As @DaytimeFan said, for a British woman of her generation to open up about depression and medication is pretty huge. Until recently in Britain, those struggles were usually kept quiet.

All this to say that I'm not sure how production are going to frame things with LVP in the BH universe, but it feels like something which seemed a dead cert a few months ago (LVP leaving RHOBH, possibly ignominiously) is starting to turn. The victory laps taken by Rinna, Vyle, Teddi et al seem a little premature. I cannot believe the previously empathetic Teddi of all people is leading the charge.

As for Brandi returning.... Yikes. Her ego (and behaviour) would be out-of-control.

I don't think Teddi is leading the charge, but I do think that she is relishing in it all simply b/c she has Kyle in her ear. Teddi is a "pick me" kind of girl. As long as majority of the women like her, she's fine. She's gonna be all for hopping on the target of this season, including LVP, who was the woman who defended Teddi against the likes of Dorit and Erika last year.

And Kyle has been trying to get back in LVP's good graces. While she subtly says LVP is a liar, she's already making media runs expressing how she misses their friendship. Kyle ain't stupid. She knows she's about to come off horribly this season.

That's a good point about Teddi. She is someone who enjoys being part of a group, and therefore is more likely to follow the group direction. This push to alienate LVP has been on going for a while, certainly before Teddi started appearing on the show, so I wasn't meaning to imply that she was at the head of it.

I just feel that Teddi is going to somehow find herself being the head of it because she's going to feel obligated to taken on Kyle's battle. It's pretty much highlighted in the trailer. Teddi is about to fall for the second season curse.

@Faulkner, I heard! I am rooting for Kandi!

Okay so the ATL ladies are finally headed to Tokyo. Bravo released an extended clip of Tanya and Nene fighting and she held her own. This is the most stupid feud they could possibly have. Nene’s jealous side is back once again. Smh. I never expected this to be who Tanya was fighting with.

All in all I’ve found the past couple episodes to be fun. This season isn’t the most OMG in terms of drama, but I think a good transitional season we just aren’t used to since ATL rarely has new wives. I feel like they’ve knocked it out of the park with casting. If Tanya doesn’t have a peach next year they’re nuts. It’s great to see another wealthy, but smart black businesswoman on tv.

Atlanta just bores me to death this season.  I really want to like it, but I can't.  Shamari isn't working for me - she belongs maybe on Basketball Wives or something.  Eva is boring.  Too much Porsha.  Tanya has potential, but for some reason I feel like she's awkward and the girls are awkward as they all try to get to know each other.  Kandi is being too obvious this season with her squad doing her dirty work.  I'm just bored.

NJ really started strong but the last two episodes have been really trying for me.  Jackie's article was not a big deal, Jennifer overreacted.  Teresa stands up for Jennifer way too much.  Jennifer is annoying, dumb and totally hypocritical, especially when she starts drinking.  Milania should not be given a microphone or a hope that she can sing, because girl can NOT.

Agree abot ATL - it feels very production driven and none of the storylines weave together or seem like anything other than contrived reasons to get everyone together. Shamari is a dud. Tanya is good casting but she doesn’t click with any of the women.

I enjoy NJ a lot more and don’t mind how trivial the fights are. Jennifer is obnoxious and dumb and Jackie thinks she’s cleverer than she is while we all know she was once a Teresa superfan.

However, the drama between Classic Marge and Danielle/Teresa is great to watch and Margaret is way smarter than the rest of them. Seeing Marty trash Margaret in favour of Danielle, knowing what we know about THAT marriage, is hilarious.

Yeah the last two episodes have been lulls, which makes this mini season less consistent than last year's. Watching two newbies fight who are not the calibre of a Danielle or an Aviva Drescher is dull, even though Jennifer's sh!t stirring is starting to grow on me a little. The real drama is with Margaret vs Danielle (and while I am Team Marge, I do think Danielle has been looking and dressing amazingly this season). Still, the end game is near: Reunion just filmed so we must be a few weeks away.

And totally agree about Milania. That poor kid cannot rap. I hate to say it but Melissa Gorga has more chance at a rap career than Milania.

    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.

    • I'm not sure who wanted them to dump REUNION & instead do a "Dallas-like daytime show" but it seems that it def came from NBC to AW through Rauch, so, yes, it absolutely could have been his (cough-another-stupid?) decision!!!! I've just begun the new Lisanti book so maybe I will find out. (I waited for the kindle version to come out.) I would apologize for being so critical & so sarcastic, too, but, well, I'm not actually sorry!  Silverman was NOT a friend to AW.  And, I believe the critique is on point & deserved! I wanted to explain why I think the timing is off for the 90 minute show to be a reaction to the GH Luke & Laura story & its hype. Because, for sure, networks & production companies did react to it! The first 90 minute show was Monday, March 5, 1979.  And, there was some unknown amount of time ahead of that with people arguing about it & then, planning it.  The Luke & Laura wedding was mid-November 1981.  They were on the run from Frank Smith & stayed overnight in Wyndham's Dept. Store early August 1980.
    • terrible at using forums and inserting photos, but jake in another world had a drag persona named doris, anyone know the episode or year? http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/ffad19.jpg
    • Yes, I am familiar with Fred Silverman. Agree, the 90 minute AW a very poor decision by Silverman. I think Silverman was behind the decision to go with Texas.
    • Thanks -- you're doing God's work The Gio reveal was everything I hoped for and more. GH got it right. Head to toe, GM is a stunning physical specimen.
    • I really wonder how they'll handle Netflix's usual long breaks between seasons. That girl is going to grow up fast... makes me wonder if this wouldn't have been a better fit for HBO Max considering they're leaning into a more broadcast style of production model with The Pitt.
    • I agree -- I didn't suspect Ted, either. I think a lot of people are giving themselves way too much credit in predicting Ted's problems

And can I have a different take on Ted here? Yes, he's made a huge mistake with this Leslie debacle, and yes, he has to suffer and pay for it. But does that make Ted a terrible human being? I don't think it does. He made a horrific mistake over 2 decades ago, and as far as we know, he's been a good husband and father since. As far as we know, he hasn't strayed or violated his marriage since. He didn't know that he fathered another child, and thought he "removed" Leslie from his life. I won't blame Nicole if she doesn't forgive him, but I also won't blame her if she decides what they have and what they've had more than makes up for what he did. Ted is getting dragged far more than Bill is on these boards, and I think Bill is MUCH worse as a husband and father. How many times did he cheat on Dani during their marriage? How many times did he do vile things in his role as fixer? How much did he hurt his daughters by screwing their friend and marrying her? With Keith Robinson coming in as Ted, maybe we'll see a character change in direction and we'll discover that Ted has many flaws and always had a dark side. For now, though, I'm inclined to both be angry with Ted for hurting his family while also sympathizing with him. I know what you mean, but I do think that was intentional. So much was going on in that episode, and I think they decided not to let Nicole's reaction be lost in all that. Nicole will get those scenes that you're asking for.
    • That was the original point of me sending you her 6 airdates, so now with those, and the link to the daily episode guide I've provided, that should help you more easily find the additional Ruth Buzzi scenes. I will always repeat myself when it comes to defending my data that I've taken decades to research and compile. But, as you pointed out in a recent post, I am kind, so at least I will do it with you in a kind way as opposed to the usual social media way most people do with just getting rude/nasty. That's not my style, as you correctly pointed out earlier this week, and never will be.  So, all is well!

    • Ambyr Michelle continues to be *that girl.* She’s just a star, period. Elevates every scene she’s in on the sheer strength of her emotional realism and charisma. Can sell any dialogue. I wish the show veered away from the B&B-style scripting. TMG/Leslie’s tirade stood out, I suppose, but she’s getting a bit mustache-twirly. And I wish DD had more to do in that episode than stand and sob.
