Was there even a reunion? That's what I was hoping for. It was like one episode or two of grieving and then it's back to all the women pining for losers while Dorian is harangued and harangues others. I kept waiting for a little sliver of a Cassie/Dorian scene, Addie/Dorian...nope.

I think Mia worked better for what Blair was originally envisioned to be.

Kassie has always been a very limited actress to me, I just can never sympathize with Blair because of her acting choices. She's so void of subtlety, she can't play the nuances of the role well, I think. I always get a very cold feeling when I see her "act."

I think if OLTL survived Tina's loss for years, they can survive losing Blair too.

I guess to me, Blair has never been a subtle character, beyond the first few months when they were laying out her story. As soon as we knew who she was, she became extremely blatant. Blair f***ed a man on her wedding dress, Blair married for money and tried to kill her husband, Blair hid her crazy mother in the attic and had big scenes which amounted to her yelling MOTHER!! NO!! DORIAN WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!! I'm not saying this wasn't good, because it was good. I just think from then on, Blair was an obvious character.

KDP is not a very expansive actress but she can do drama, and humor, she has chemistry with people, she doesn't phone in, and when she gets the material, she can be a powerhouse. To me there have been no nuances in Blair in a long, long time, or 99% of the characters on the show.

But I see what you're saying, and I certainly understand why people would be offended to see an Amerasian woman become a blonde Southern belle.

For me it's not about OLTL "surviving" without Blair; they have already made her pointless anyway. It's about OLTL continuing to degrade and diminish the base that once made it stand out -- women. Tina's gone, Blair will probably either be gone or barely around, and what do we have? All I see are extremely passive, mentally unbalanced, dumb bimbos who live for abusive rapists and cheaters.

On a show with the likes of Tea, Kelly, Langston, Starr, Gigi, and Jessica as "heroines", your show has nowhere to go but down.

you really have to love Datalounge:

   Sorry if one word in there offends anyone, but I love the mind that came up with this. On any other forum it would be soundly attacked as being in poor taste, but they really know how to take bad news in stride and get a laugh out of it.

Jamey Giddens really believes a Bell soap would hire Scott or Brett? At best, Brett would be hired as yet another thuggish B-player in Genoa City who repeats the same lines a few times a week over some lame "mystery" and is not allowed any access to a hairstylist or even a bottle of shampoo.

I agree with him about the racism and homophobia endemic in daytime. Once again soaps spit on those that enjoy them the most.

I'm sorry, I don't get all these comments about "Kish" making OLTL lose viewers. I thought that they did resonate with mainstream audiences. Kish doesn't resonate, but a leading man who is a rapist that made fun of his victim using airquotes resonates? This is almost like the same problem with P&G soaps. They didn't give the gay couple many kissing or sex scenes but they gave the incest couple (Jammy) sex scenes that would rival skinemax.

I can see a Bell soap hiring either one. Right now they seem to be casting primetime or soaps actors with buzz and they wouldn't have them play gay characters. Maybe Brett can go back to One Tree Hill, where to me he played his first gay character. We all know Tim had it bad for Nathan.

Well, it makes you wonder what tomorrow will bring for OLTL....already this week we've had Farah Fath's meltdown, Scott Clifton's firing, Austin Williams' demotion, and the Kish canning.  And it's only Wednesday!  Crazy, crazy, crazy.

And that's just the thing. I didn't even care enough about the returns to want to tune in and see. I caught bits and pieces of Bangs on an airplane when I was too lazy to change to ATWT after AMC, but that's all I saw. I have never gotten the over-the-top Tognoni love, so she wasn't gonna bring me back. I love Bangs, but she wasn't enough, and Cassie? As ignorant as this will sound, I don't know her enough to care about her.

I think I'm just over the Cramers as a family unit altogether. Dorian's unbearable, Blair's a hot mess, and Starrhead is just Starrhead. Even Langston's gone off the deep end ( Ford ). Addie? Poor Addie.

Want to make any predictions Scotty? LOL

I wonder what's in store next for OLTL

WORD! Also the same rapist who is shoved down viewers throats ad nauseum, and who continues to sprout children like they grow on trees in his backyard

    • Yeah. I wasn't feeling it either. If it was meant to be a chem test, it didn't work. I don't think so. Because I think Neil and Liz moved into that house after Stefano "died", and Neil lived there until he went to go see his patients and never came back

    • Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18. So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.
    • I was really starting to enjoy it, but after Anspach, Shelton and Keane left, it got a bit blah to watch. Jane Russell was great as Rose, Buddy Ebsen as Toat was interesting as well.  If a second season were in the cards, I would have signed  Karen Carlson on to a contract and cast a couple more women as regulars. The cowboy aspect could continue. Sam Elliott, as always, was fantastic,  The camaraderie between Roy and Quisto was really good as well. Cybill... she was sex on a stick and unapologetic.   Poor Robin Wright barely lasted five minutes, though, before being raped and murdered.
    • I love it that we've gone from daylight to dark -- Luna's even returned to work -- but Steffy is still sitting next to shirtless Finn on the sofa.

    • Is the current DiMera mansion the same mansion Stefano moved into around 1983?  I remember that house was out near a lake, and not far from Doug Williams' night club.  In fact, there was a tunnel connecting Doug's Place to the DiMera mansion.  If it supposed to be the same house, I'm fairly sure it is not the same set.  But I'm aware sometimes soap opera sets change without any explanation
    • Amazing work @slick jones I remember watching and enjoying Yellow Rose but losing interest once they went to self contained episodes, Interestingly that's the opposite of what Dallas, KL and FC did. So maybe YR should have been more episodic at first and then go to a fully fledged serial. But really the timeslot was the problem -Sat @10 was not the spot for a serial. And Rounders turned out to be a poor lead in. Maybe 9-11 Tues following A Team would have helped.
    • LOL!!! He looks like he is reacting as if Luna just passed bad gas or something.
    • Doug Marland came on board shortly before Gloria Monty, I believe. Jackie Smith was in charge of ABC daytime at that point. All of the characters in place were not his creations. Alan was created by Irving and Tex Ellman who wrote the hurricane story a few months before and brought in Alan, Scotty, David Hamilton, Dorrie and Lisa/Lana. His first character was  Bobbie in Jan 78. Apart from wrapping up the Lan/Lisa story he pretty much kept all the stories going just adding new elements.
    • She is 29... she's inching closer, and we know how important age is on soaps.

    • When I saw that look on Will's face, I thought, "Yeah, there's no one on set giving direction to Crew Morrow. There's no one giving notes." His dad Josh was green when he started, but not this green.
