December 30, 200520 yr Member Oh My God!! What the hell!! OLTL slipped again all over the damn place!! People dont know what they are missing!! That is all i have to say!!
December 30, 200520 yr Member Nice to see DAYS almost gain 400,000 viewers in one week, and have an episode with over 4 million viewers. The only disappointing thing this week about the rating for DAYS this week was still being at a 1.9 in the 18-49 demos. I dont know if DAYS will hold on to all these viewers next week, but with this powerful SL coming up DAYS could possibly hit the 3.0 mark and hopefully get a lot of the older long time viewers to give DAYS one more try. DAYS really cant afford to screw up this SL, it just has too much potential and if done bad some viewers might not ever try DAYS again, or at least never take DAYS serious. Thanks for posting these numbers, DAYS back at #3 in overall viewers rocks!
December 31, 200520 yr Member Question: Aren't DVRs going to be included pretty soon????!!?!? That is going to be VERY good for soaps, right?!?!
December 31, 200520 yr Member Question: Aren't DVRs going to be included pretty soon????!!?!? That is going to be VERY good for soaps, right?!?! I forgot about that FS! It was either counted this week, which will be posted next Friday or count next week and be released 13 days from now. I wonder if we even be able to tell a difference?
December 31, 200520 yr Member Somebody tell me more about this DVR thing...show me releases about it and stuff. Please Hopefully this helps the soaps a bit, 3.0 land for like atleast 5 of them soaps would be great.

Yeah but I would think the number of people still using conventional VCR's would far outnumber DVR's since they are still a new thing.
December 31, 200520 yr Member Saddened to see ATWT drop in Overall ratings while the other 8 soaps climbed in viewers...
December 31, 200520 yr Member Sorry but people know exactly what they are missing on OL. Nothing absolutely nothing is what they are missing.
December 31, 200520 yr Member OLTL had an amazing year and kudos to ABC for letting Higley take the reigns and do what she wanted to.... OLTL has hit a bit of a rut lately for me as I am not enjoying the show as much as I was in the summer but still Dena is doing an "ok" job. AMC is finally rising and much better in terms of quality, I am back to fully enjoying my #1 soap again. Yeah I feel the same way, re: OLTL. Things have slowed down-- sluggishly. I hate this, when OLTL is good DAYS isn't and when DAYS isn't OLTL is. Are two soaps high in action too much to ask for? LOL...

December 31, 200520 yr Member Great job Days and Passions. I didn;t think they would go up next week since this week and next are the true holiday weeks IMO. I really beleive next week both shows will see huge gains since Friday they had great numbers going into this week. Passions had a great week this week and Days did as well and will only get better in the weeks to come. Every soap should see huge gains next week, including Days and Passions. Happy Days is #3 in totla viewers .
December 31, 200520 yr Member Nice to see that B&B is still (the only soap) up from last year. I hope they hit the 5 million viewer mark next week...

Of Neilsen's national sample of 9,000 homes, only 60 are DVR homes. It has had minimal impact with the recent primetime ratings.
