Plastic Surgery of the Soap Stars

At age 48, Demi Moore is one smoking woman with a body to die for. I can see why she's obsessed with the skin above/surrounding her knees. In that pic it does look aged. She's made really good choices with her plastic surgery.

Melanie was very insecure about her looks and a little overweight by Hollywood standards. She started having surgery very young, like her first facelift in her thirties (she had a full face but losing weight and at most some lipo under her chin could have helped that). She's also of course messed with her lips which is the hardest to bounce back from. Did anyone catch Linda Evans on Oprah today?

And Beverly Johnson is a freak of nature! Looks SO good!

Exactly, Melanie did way too much way too soon and she messed with her lips which was a HUGE mistake on her part.

That's an older episode of OPRAH, didn't Linda Evans look horrible? All overly sensitized skin, ugly platinum coloured hair and gargoyle like lips?

Beverly Johnson DOES look good. She had wonky breast implants that she either removed or had redone.

Yeah, I remember you guys talking about this ep, linda's face looks... uncomfortable. But, kind of cross-threading here, her compound with her family up in Washington looks like a lovely existence, I wouldn't judge her on the Beverly Hills place.

This is a more recent pic of Jackie Zeman i stumbled across. She was at some event with her sister who...looks nothing like her.

But, I was wondering if you think her face has settled at all? This is the first time I have thought her cheeks looked normal in a long time.

I cant stand to look at Jackie Zeman anymore. Give me anything pre-2008 but anything in the last 2 years has just been cringe worthy. She's one of the few stars who's work actually bothers me to the point where I do not like to look at her. Its a shame

As much as I loove her Cheap, she wasn't looking so hot in 2007 either.

Obviously a LOT better than now. I think this was pre-cheek implant. But her skin is pretty tight and her lips look weird. And those boobs!

plus, that ratty long ass black hair she has now isn't helping. it really ages her even more.

your link doesnt work. This is an image from a 2007 Photoshoot. She obviously had work done then in the lips, cheeks and maybe nose but I thought she looked resonably okay. She should have stopped there bc she's gone overboard since. This was the last time she looked semi-decent

This procedure, the radio frequency tightening procedure, is known, generally, as Thermage. Here's how it works: the patient applies a topical numbing cream to the skin for an hour or so before the procedure, then the dermatologist applies a sterile, chilled gel to the skin. The dermatologist then applies the Thermage wand, very similar to a laser wand, that emits a radio frequency that really heats up the lower layers of the skin (also known as the dermis). Once the dermis is heated, it grows substantial amounts of collagen that help to firm up the face and recontour loose or saggy areas.

The claim that Demi Moore undergoes Thermage on a weekly basis is nonsense. No doctor will perform Thermage more than once every few months. It simply wouldn't be possible to do and wouldn't be effective.

Thermage is still in the hit or miss phase of success. I have good success with it, many doctors do. Other doctors don't, it's all in the hands of the clinician.

Jackie looks terrible. And I say that as a huge Jackie Zeman fan. I think she is a tremdous actress and a great lady.

Here's what I would suggest if she came to me.

1-Stop all Fillers. Basically, I want her phase to completely deflate from the fillers.

2-Stop all Botox. She is not getting the optimal result and I want to see what her face is like without it.

3-If she has cheekbone implants (which I actually suspect she doesn't, her cheeks look like they're plumped with filler) then those must be removed.

*Wait 8 months, all she'd do is cleanser, toner, moisturizer, topical exfoliant and sunscreen*

4-A series of Fraxel laser treatments on her face, neck and chest.

5-Botox between the brows and for the forehead, perhaps the jawline.

6-Fillers for the nose to mouth and puppet lines, nowhere else.

*Wait 2 months to see full result*

If I was not satisfied that I'd achieved a natural look for Jackie, I would suggest that she undergo a full facelift after waiting an additional 8 months. Jackie is the type of person whose had too much done to her without taking a breather and saying "Okay, the fillers aren't getting me where I want to go"...she needs to reassess how she looks and go to conservative doctors, she's been going to people, it seems, who liberally apply their trade.

    • Given the cuts being made to treatment and research funding along with RFK Jr's quack theories about HIV/AIDS, it is probably more relevant than in some time, but I know GH is not going to really go there in explaining why (and I'm not sure they could have even back in the day).
    • Who's a bigger pathetic pick me? Brooke or Katie and Katie is a freaking moron given how Brooke has backstabbed her continually Ridge should have told patchwork girl to STHU
    • To me, it helps solidify Ted as a character; Johnson was stiff (except for his excessive swaying) and could not emote one iota in his scenes. It was a recast that was well done. Knowing what Robinson is capable of doing, he's an asset to the cast. If they've just established it as a soap opera that patients have watched prior, I doubt the characters would appear in-universe; that wouldn't make sense at all.
    • Will I be Gio's champion? I am so there LOL  I'm happy to know that so many people agree with me about how good his performance was at the NB.   I don't see GM lasting any longer on GH than Nicholas Alexander Chavez did. Damn, I was struck by Sawandi's "moves."  Rhythm Nation passed him by. At least he got in that head spin when he resorted to break dancing. But P.S. The guy is gorgeous.   -- I understand all the criticism here about the Nurses Ball, and I pretty much agree with all of it. However, I love seeing it, and I miss it when we don't get it.      I love the stuff that's so cheesy and bad that I can't believe I'm watching it, and I love trashing it. It's awesome television to snark at (see: Spinelli in his cowboy boots). Regardless of how slick it is or is supposed to be, it's clear A LOT of work is put into the final product, and I'm grateful when a soap is willing to pull out the stops like this. -- Haven't seen today's show yet, so stay tuned for more performance reviews LOL -- In the meantime, here's a decent look backstage at GH....a video improved greatly by the presence of Giovanni Mazza.

    • And what happens once the secret is out? He still walks around owning them? Nah, that's lame. The recast messes up Ted and Bill presence for me.

I've always been convinced "Russel Kubeck" is Henry Slesar.   There are 3 different mystery/suspense/crime writers whom I instantly identified as Henry Slesar after reading their works.  Those three are "Sley Harson", "Eli Jerome", and "Russel Kubeck".  Slesar's estate has subsequently verified that "Sley Harson" and "Eli Jerome" were indeed pen names used by Henry Slesar.  No word yet on "Russel Kubeck".   I wish Slesar's kids, his agent, or P&G would ultimately acknowledge whether or not "Kubeck" was one of Slesar's pen names.   Here's what I think happened:  I believe P&G approached Slesar and said, "We're pulling the plug on Somerset in December unless you can get the ratings up to a 6.0 for a 13-week period".  [Or some other target they had in mind.]  Slesar took the job but knew the chances of failure were far greater than the chances of success, so he used a pseudonym for it.   Look at it this way.  A few years later, in 1983, P&G dismissed Henry Slesar from The Edge of Night and went out soliciting a new mystery writer to take his place.  They settled on Lee Sheldon.  If "Russel Kubeck" were a real person (other than a pen name of Slesar's), don't you think P&G would've hired Kubeck instead, since they'd already worked with him on Somerset.   I believe P&G was fully aware that the paychecks written in 1976 to Russel Kubeck had gone directly into Slesar's account, and there was no sense in interviewing Mr. Kubeck to take Slesar's place on EON in 1983.
    • New Ted ain't it. Loved the reference to Tamara Tunie's time on ATWT. hopefully they can make a Law & Order SVU reference. I wonder if ATWT characters will ever cross over because the homeless lady and Nicole acknowledged Jessica and Duncan as soap characters from "As the World Turns". Then again, Marge was watching a soap with B&B's theme on Y&R and Katherine Chancellor crossed over to Guiding Light despite Reva's clone and Cassie  acknowledging Y&R as a tv show.
    • Damn GIO was excellent. Great cliffhanger
    • I kind of feel like its still to early to call. Ted should be broken,  confused,  vulnerable at this point if we're to believe he loves his wife and his family at this moment.      Martin certainly hasn't played weak against Bill and neither has Vernon. We haven't really seen him with his son in law so not sure how they'll play that.
    • Because it gives him power over them. That's why, and plays into the idea Bill Hamilton holds power over them, hence his involvement in the Martin secret.
