Great idea Mark H, I really like the idea of Bill Spencer SR not being dead but faking his death and sending Dollar Bill to do his bidding. Then he can sweep in and sweep Stuffers off her flats if he wants to spend the rest of his life with that hag. Maybe Stuff should go like Sally and be written off as still alive, but gone forever.

Why can we so easily accept back-from-the-dead on this show, but rake Y&R writers over the coals for same??

Watching today for the first time in weeks. Owen wants a baby. Sigh. Boring. Why does Stephanie want to hide her stroke from the Jackie M. group?

I'm worried that Hearst is already deeply in the backburner supporting (i.e., Clarke Garrison) role.

ETA: I have such a hard time seeing Taylor in that sensible supporting psychiatrist role. Basically that's the role I want to see her in...but I can't shake my feeling that NOBODY should be listening to this train-wreck of a woman.

I think it very much depends on the situation. I'm not one to hate on back to the dead stories in any case, but there is a big difference between Bill Spencer faking his death (something that would be very in character) and Phillip III faking his death...in a hospital...because he's gay.

But we pretty much did see Phillip's body. I'm the type of view that actually likes back from the dead stories because I hate letting characters go. But I also understand when the writers have cheated just a little bit, even if I'm willing to go with it. If Bill turns out to be dead, I won't feel like the writer's cheated, but with Philip III (much like Taylor) I feel like it was a definite rewrite of something that was meant to be a real death at the time and the retcon doesn't quite make sense if you were watching when it originally happened. Some people object to that and I think that's legitimate, especially when it keeps happening.

B&B has been off the rails since JJ was brought back as Karen and Brooke slept with Deascome. Another back from the dead stretch is nothing. I had higher hopes for Y&R because Bill Bell kept it fairly classy, but B&B has always been the trashy twisted sister.

WTF was Taylor wearing? Is she a part time dominatrix on the side? That would be an interesting storyline actually, Taylor uses her psychiatric skills in a different way. Unfortunately this show is just interested in making Hunter look bad and won't go in an interesting direction.

    • Assuming that Marland had been allowed to write the Carrie story the way he'd envisioned, Millette would've been involved in the story. And she might've played a role in Andy Norris' return (if the speculation on that had ever materialized, and Marland loved bringing back bad boys) But he doesn't seem interested in Sara's personal life. And the women of Springfield could only be analyzed so much.
    • This better be something, because as I said, so far it's just cliches and stereotypes -- the story we've heard a thousand times about the homeless person who doesn't want a home and prefers to live on the streets.
    • @rsclassicfanforever thank you very much for the recent uploads of season 13 containing some episodes that were skipped or glitchy on YouTube!  I had a look at 3172 though and there is no audio for most of it? Would you have a copy with complete audio? Fingers crossed! Thanks again!

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
