How was Kelly introduced? Was he related to anyone on the canvas?

Believe he was Ed Bauer's godson or something similar.

The woman who comes on here and other sites and calls Beth Ehlers nasty names is absolutely hideous and an old hag. I saw a picture of her years ago. She is Kim Zimmer's personal assistant. Apparently, she spends almost all of her time (presumably when she's not eating Zimmer's [!@#$%^&*]) going online and spreading lies about Beth Ehlers and attacking her looks and age. That is called projection. Beth Ehlers is still as gorgeous as ever. She never ages. She looks exactly the same as when she first joined Guiding Light. It's like everybody always said: Beth Ehlers is blessed with perfect bone structure. She also takes good care of her skin, as Laura Wright mentioned in an interview. Nobody who is honest, has good taste, and good eyesight would deny that Beth Ehlers is beautiful. Heck, the people who buy into the lies about her sleeping with her co-stars are being hypocrites. You can't imply that all of these guys want to make love to her and then say she's not beautiful, it doesn't work that way. Even funnier is seeing the Alternate Reality Bizarro World residing posters saying nice things about wildly unpopular, horse-faced Beth Chamberlain. You have no credibility.

Does anyone recall Grant Aleksander first airdate as Phillip? I know it was 1982. I've been looking for it on YouTube to no avail.

Also anyone recall Jarrod Ross last airdate as Phillip?

Thanks! Then it's the Christmas episode which looks awful on YouTube. I'll have to see if I can find Jarrod last episode.

This is Grant Aleksanders first episode on Guiding Light.

This is dubbed in German, called Springfield Story.

I uploaded episodes from 1982 beginning with Episode 801 of the german broadcast. It begins in June 1982.

The scene with Phillip starts at 2:30 when he enters Justins House

If I recall right I think Aleksander started around in June 1982 around the same time as Phil McGregor started as Freddy/Rick.

Edit: Oh I see someone posted it above! 😁

You answered a question I was going to ask. I am watching the 1979 Christmas episode and I was who the hell is Freddie?..lol

Also who is the old man with Bert and who is Peter? I don't recall them although it been years since I've seen this episode.

That 'dead leaves' music is probably one of my favorite soap themes ever. It also defines one of the best eras of this show to me.

Yes. The older man is Dr. Steve Jackson, who was the late Leslie Bauer's father. Thus, he is Rick Bauer's grandfather. Peter Chapman was a doctor and involved with Holly. He was played by the late Curt Dawson who also played DA Zack Colton on Another World.

And I could watch Maureen Garrett play anything. No histrionics or annoying tics, always a believable and realistic performance.

It's sometimes hard to reconcile this Holly with the one who returned a decade later, but the heart of the character was always there and Maureen never phoned it in.
