Members dc11786
Are these the episodes from the German DVD set?
Members katie_9918
I think they are. It's still awesome of someone to put them all up for those who didn't or couldn't buy a region-free DVD player specifically for those DVDs. *whistles innocently*
Members Paul Raven
I remember at the time they talked about the location shoot and how the interiors were done at the studio with chroma key backgrounds using video taped on location and that it was seamless. I think Doug Marland spoke about how strong GL was when he took over (apart from no young people). He didn't really drop any characters for quite a while.Who were the first to go? Members katie_9918
The first that comes to my mind is Roger, but I think Zaslow had given notice well before Marland took over. I read somewhere (most likely this very thread and I'll bet the poster was Carl) that Marland had about four months to write Roger out.
Members DRW50
Probably Mike's secretary Ann, Greg (the guy Rita and Eve were involved with), and Katie's boyfriend Mark, although I'm not sure if some of them were already leaving via the Dobsons.
Members amybrickwallace
Who was the writing/EP team when Michael Zaslow returned in the late 80s - and when he was so horribly and rudely kicked off in 1997? JFP had already left, and I think it was before Paul Rauch came in. Was Conboy EP then?
Members robbwolff
Rauch was executive producer when Zaslow was forced out. Conboy didn't arrive until the 2000s. He was hired around November/December 2002.
Members DRW50
The 1989 team was Joe Whitmore/Pam Long, I think.
Members robbwolff
Joe Willmore. He was replaced later that spring by Robert Calhoun.
Members amybrickwallace
Thanks, everyone. I always get the Rauch and Conboy tenures at GL messed up because Rauch replaced Conboy as EP at Santa Barbara several years before Conboy replaced Rauch as EP at GL.
Members Mitch
Also, it wasn't Rauch who really was behind Zaz being fired..it was MADD and PG..his hands were tied...(now could he have done more, who knows.) I will say a lot about Rauch, but he always said that the vets like JVD, Garret and Blake actress would stay on as long as he was there. I think a lot of what aired was out of his hands.
Members amybrickwallace
Yeah, it seems in that case that Rauch was stuck in the middle. I know that P&G and MADD were the ones that ousted Zaz, but did CBS have anything to do with what happened one way or the other?
Members Leoruby
Does anybody have more info on Joe Morton's character Dan Stennis (sp)? He was a part of the DA's office and was present for Holly's hypnosis in `79.

Members katie_9918
Mike's uploading Christmas of '87 to his channel. I know it's already out there, but I figured I'd let everyone know. I really like Sonni. In fact, I liked most of Josh's non-Reva love interests.
