I hadn't seen the first one. Nice pants, Mart...you can tell what decade this was.

I agree about Beaty. He had a lot of charisma.

Correct. The top picture is from 1972, the middle one would probably be around 1960-1961, and the bottom one from 1983.

I'd certainly call them that before I'd call Jonathan and Tammy.

Not a fan of the kissing cousins, I take it? Was Rebecca Budig already off GL by the time Paul Anthony Stewart came on? I know she didn't play any of the Danny/Michelle romance, but did any of their time of GL overlap?

Not really, no, lol. But the fact that Jonathan and Tammy were first-cousins was only part of the reason. I also wasn't a fan, because of Tom Pelphrey, who tended to over-act; and of Stephanie Gatschet, who tended to act...well...not at all. Plus, Jonathan was just a real skeeze, you know? And I hated how GUIDING LIGHT flat-out ret-conned his background, insisting he grew up in an abusive and dysfunctional home when we saw different years before, both to justify the two-dimensional sociopath he'd become and manipulate the audience's emotions toward him. (It didn't do Reva, who THOUGHT she was doing the right thing by leaving him with Marissa and her husband rather than retrieve him, any favors either.)

Paul Anthony Stewart debuted like 1-2 weeks after Rebecca Budig left and Michelle was recast with Joie Lenz

Nope. Rebecca left on Nov 4th, Joie debuted on the 5th of Nov, and Paul debuted the following week on the 11th. Only thing Rebecca played out was the beginning of the arc where Michelle and Drew killed Mick Santos. Joie picked up where Rebecca left off the following day.

God, those 2003 promos brought back some bad memories. Poor Ben Reade. A real waste of a legacy character. Had a bad story in 2001 when he was betting a fellow frat boy that he could bed Marah (Ick. Lyndsey McKeon). Then he gets edged out by that 2x4 Marty West and outed as a serial killer of prostitutes. Poor Ben.

Also, looking back on the summer of 2003: That Daniel Bedingfield song was terrible.
