Confession: I posted, my computer got stuck on save, then I refreshed and posted, and the same message got reposted four times.

I am so sorry for taking up way too much space in this forum this week.

I'll be back soon, and give you guys a rest from opinions (that's a promise, not a threat 🤭)

There are a number of Roger and Adam scenes on Youtube in the 1979 episodes and in Adam's brief 1994 return. The ClassicGL channel has some individual scenes.

I also found this conversation with Lillian and Adam. They never crossed paths onscreen before but I suppose we were meant to believe Lillian had been working as a nurse at Cedars for years before we first saw her. Does anyone remember? 

I wonder if they were considering bringing him back to be paired with Lillian, unless this is just yet another example in this era of having to find some justification for putting Lillian in a scene.

 

Does anyone know how long that video runs? I ask because I have a file, 43 minutes, named just Roger.  Mike & Ed are in it. Holly, too. on the island, Alan, at home, Bert in a chapel, Roger shoots at Mike, everyone seems to fall off that cliff, but they scampered on the side of that cliff ...

I don't see them trying to say Lillian had been working at Cedars while Adam was in town. I think it's just the general chit-chat kind of scene. There would be a historical link to explain Lillian's presence, Ross had dated her sister Calla and had taken Dinah in before Ross and Vanessa knew she was their daughter.

I wasn't confused about Lillian being there, I just got the sense they were suggesting Adam and Lillian knew each other.

Yes, Marland is credited as writing it & Allen M. Potter as EP. 

I wonder what Alan's and Roger's last scene was together in 1980.  A lot of the time, Roger is mentioned but not shown.

After seeing some of the early 1987 clips again I'm even more horrified by Alex's hair. I assume she was aged up due to her pairing with HB, but she looks more like Harriet Oleson from Little House.

Yes.  It wasn't looking good at all.  I would be horrified seeing myself on tv with it. However, Roger would have gray one day and then be basically all brunette the next. LOL  It was like whiplash. 

Some unpopular opinions:  

I thought the actress that played Hope wasn't good.  She whispered so much, I could barely hear her. The storyline on the island was boring. 

Reva and Alan had no chemistry.  People say that Roger & Mindy didn't have chemistry, but I thought they did.  I didn't see the chemistry between Reva and Alan. Every time Josh was with someone, Reva had to be too.  She can't be single?

Now just some observations:

It is so hard to still not get what is being said on a lot of the German dubbed videos and not hear the actor's real voices. 

I think it's horrible that there is no way to watch full storylines for a character from each year. 

I was trying to see the storyline of Blake when she first got on and noticed that they tried to pair her up with Johnny!  They were also trying to match up Mindy and Frank!  

I thought the scene with Suzanne Deveraux and Roger in July 91 wasn't done that well. It's supposed to be some mystery woman in bed with Roger. Roger might as well be talking to himself as she said nothing. No chemistry at all. That character just disappeared after Daniel is killed.  Dumb and wasted character.
