A part of me wonders if he's worried about legal action, as he was in PR.

It's a real contrast to the Loving chat, where it seemed nobody involved gave a [!@#$%^&*] about decorum with backstage tales.

I can get Alan's frustration as he's hoping these work out smoothly for his sake and the audience, and I know the tech issues have been annoying in the past but I was thoroughly entertained with Kristi's antics today, talking over people, her reaction and logging on and off again. She seems sweet however. I didn't mind it. Besides, Alan could have prevented all of this so it's not entirely her fault. Also, sometimes Alan doesn't know how to follow up or continue the dialogue and there's awkward moments in conversation because of that and I'm like oh no...someone say something.

Yes, I watched that one as well and they were definitely ready to spill. I mean that's the reason I watch these anyway, I want to know what was happening behind the scenes, how actors got along good and bad, funny moments, etc.

I think it's also because Alan was part of PGP management, and still sees himself as part of management. I didn't like how he protected PGP and MADD by pivoting when Denise Pence brought up the Zaslow situation.

Also if P&P someday realizes that it is sitting on a potential IP goldmine in the form of its soap archives and licenses, who are they going to ask to organize/market it? He probably doesn't want to burn bridges.

He should solicit questions from fans in advance, and have a list of those questions ready at hand during these awkward pauses. It's not that difficult.

The LADIES OF LOVING reunion was Gold Standard. If you didn’t watch LOVING, you should watch this, just to see how well it can be done. Moderators. Questions. One actor at a time.

Compared to it, The Locher Room is local access cable from Alan’s basement. They’re just not getting any better.

And The Ladies of Loving had major sound issues at their start but was fixed and was a great reunion & very open about the feelings of the actors on LOVING

Thats why Im surprised that he booked Ilene Kristen for the OLTL reunion on Wednesday. She is very blunt. You cannot censor her & I  love it

Enjoyed the stories about Larkin and Jordan Clarke today...and MOL's story of crushing on Krista while they were in their working together early on.

Alan's ability to access these actors is amazing...but agree he needs help w/ his interviewing skills. At one point today, Krista and MOL jumped in to ask questions.  The Loving reunion hosts had solicited questions from fans in advance and it prompted great conversation.  ALL questions related to their time on Loving and each person was asked their own question -- no discussion of home-schooling during quarantine, gardening under lockdown or the student films they did back in 82 thankfully !

The AMC reunions on EW.com this week have been very well done too...everything is all about AMC.

I doubt anyone is still wondering why Kristi Ferrell never returned to GL.  She’s a fruit loop, God love her.

Or was she method-acting and playing “mental breakdown Roxie” 30 years later?

Her former co-stars did not seem surprised or fazed by her, tho. I loved it.

    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
    • Put me in the minority in being happy about Cat not being Abby. After the two adult recasts played tag with the role, it's time for a few years of rest. I have a huge list of things I hate about RC's writing, but that choice was not one of them.
