If an Erica stunt double does mad crazy flips like Rose, AMC has secured my fandom for life.
Members bellcurve
I think Frons made the right decision by moving them out to LA. Maybe the cost-cutting won't show as much out there.

Members Dale
Wow. This sounds asinine. How can OLTL manage to showcase so many sets per show, and even create new ones on a regular basis? How come they have not had Frank Valentini give Carruthers a few pointers on producing? Members Darn
Oh goody, two full weeks of looking at the bland off-white walls and black/brown floor of ConFusion while staring at the joyless couples forced to dance together and appear somewhat interesting. Members Vee
I actually love They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (which was not a comedy) and this concept is not the worst ever in terms of soapy contrivance/canvas-unification. Unfortunately, this show is [!@#$%^&*], and the characters showcased will make it suck. Zach and Jamie Luner getting down - yeah, that's what people will want to watch. Oh, and the budget being the driving factor is really pathetic. Frank Valentini could've made this work.
Members marceline
I'd rather they just had Betty White show up and crack jokes. Preferably wearing the same dress she's wearing on that episode of Golden Girls.

Members Ann_SS
Rose was hysterical in that clip. If the drama is good maybe AMC can pull off the dancethon. It would not be my first choice. Pratt should have saved the money spent on those outdoor scenes to create a better stunt.
Members DRW50
The movie is great, wonderful acting, and the epitome of the late 60s/early 70s depressing American film. I'm not sure what it says about soaps today that this is now considered to be fun. Like the women at Serial Drama said, let's hope Ryan gets depressed and convinces someone to kill him. Members sheilaforever
It's time to remember that soaps used to have events which would 1, 2 or even 3 weeks regularly. And they often were great. But a dancing competition? A masquerade ball has much more surprise factor than a primetime reality show rip-off... Members Juliajms
I'll give this a chance. Whether it works or not depends on the writing. The concept itself could easily work, but it all depends on what people are doing during the down time. If they can keep that spicy, then I think people will keep watching. Members aMLCproduction
I feel sorry for you AMC fans. Who wants to watch Dancing for two weeks? Every day, with the same people over and over again?
Members UKBoi
I think this has definitely divided my opinion. Big event = DING DING DING. Dance competition = WTF? It will be interesting to see how they spin this, that's for sure. Right now it just reeks of 'lets capitalise on Dancing With The Stars'. You've hit the nail on the head. If it's got lots of twists and turns to it, I think it could be great...but if it's really just people dancing for two weeks then it's gonna be a big cluster-F. I have faith in Pratt that he'll do this really well, if the levels of camp and sexy are just right then it will work, but if he goes too much down the Ugly Betty route then it's going to be an epic fail.
