I agree this week's episode was good. When you don't have Sue acting like a cartoon villain out of Scooby Doo, the show is a lot better. No emphasis on Blaine/Porcelain helped, too. I enjoyed silly Blondie reading Abuela, and any chance to watch Jennifer Coolidge is wonderful. She's the ONLY reason I still watch 2 Broke Girls...."Hi Evrybahdy!"tongue.pngtongue.png

This week wasn't bad. I'm not a fan when they OVER-PREACH. i did like Will abandoning Vocal Adrenalin. The lead VA guy is hot, but is playing such a horrible character, I FF thru his scenes.

The Dave/Blaine breakup was boring, but I find any Blaine scenes boring, so go figure. I did chuckle that Harry Hamlin's character is still around. Poor Blaine(haha).

I like football player dude, but he needs to grow the hair back in...Marshall Williams is adorable with a full head of hair, and will probably find his way back to being my avatar soon!

Unique/ Coach Bieste scenes were good, and the choir was nice. Good for Ryan Murphy for adding it in before the show goes off the air.

Again, I appreciate Sue in doses. Her scene as she sent VA packing was excellent!

Im loving this season. It started out weak but Ive been jazzed with episodes 6 and beyond. Excited for Friday and the final 2 on March 20 and seeing all the older cast returning

A satisfying finale for the most part. I liked the flashback to the original kids, and how nice to have an episode of just the originals, but it was a weird choice to not include Quinn, Briittany and Santana except for one brief cameo which if you blinked you missed it. Nice way they incorporated Finn and I guess his absence was glaring. Weird seeing Will's first wife again.

The second half was happy and sad but again, no Quinn, no Santana, no Brittany, no Puck. They all showed their faces in the finale (at least I think Puck was there) but I wish we got to see something of them. Sue becoming VP was just silly, but Will changing the world of Lima was very sweet. The finale was nice that they got every cast member ever to come back but I feel they went by the faces too fast and that almost none of them registered. Was little Puck there, or the Irish guy? I think I saw the sandal dreadlock guy, but what about the girl who was the star of the new teens who had the overweight mother? I guess she was there but the camera wouldn't slow down for a second. I wish Mike Chang got to say something, oh well.

So now Glee is over and I think we have to give it its due in that the first two seasons the show was well done and really hit a dramatic height with the Kurt/Karofsky story. The coming of Blaine was a huge moment for Glee and turned Darren Criss into maybe the biggest star on the show? Perhaps. The later years the show dipped in quality. I forget what was happening in season 3. West Side Story I guess, and Quinn in the car accident. Season 4 is a bit of a blur. I am not sure what happened in season 4. Was that the split season? Then Season 5 was strict;y NY? I honestly have no idea what happened last year either. Finn died and everyone came home and nothing else stands out.

If I had to pick my favorite performance of the entire series I guess I have to go with The Warblers at The Gap maybe, or when they sang Bills Bills Bills. I have watched some of the earlier episodes on Netflix, and stuff like the football team dancing to Beyonce is worth going back to check out.

    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archivedcopy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.
