Verily, I say unto y'all, I have not a clue who this "Bret Stephens" is, nor do I care to take the time to find out.

All those folks declaring Biden over because of that Monmouth poll might want to start sweeping up all that confetti they threw.

He's one of a gaggle of NYT op-ed writers who talks about what a victim he is because of his right-wing views. He's a climate change denialist and a Tucker Carlson fan.ย

That poll makes a little more sense, as Warren and Sanders are likely canceling each other out.ย

I'm surprised Castro never has gotten much higher, in spite of a lot of praise and push. I feel like this particular cycle people settled early on a few candidates and just want it to all be over. I know I do.

The Morning Consult poll is a better one because they polled more people and they focused on the early primary states ofย Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, andย Nevada.

I don't even know why anyone pays attention to them. Most of these polls also qualify them by saying 75% of the electorate has not yet decided. I know it's a different election and I am not comparing anyone to Obama, but this time in 2007 Obama was 30 points behind Clinton in the polls.

I wouldย vote for a wormy apple before I wouldย for Trump.ย  So, do I really care about any polls?ย  Nope, not a bit.

These polls are canceling each other out. What do they even mean at this point?

That's for sure.ย  I'm so sick of the insanity.ย ย

Maybe we'll get a Biden/Warren ticket. I could easily get behind that.

I'll get behind any ticket that doesn't include Trump or has an (R) beside it.

Georgia will have two Senate races next year

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/459104-gop-sen-johnny-isakson-to-resign-at-end-of-year

GOP Sen. Johnny Isakson (Ga.)ย announced Wednesday that he will step down from the Senate at the end of the year, citing health issues.
ย
"After much prayer and consultation with my family and my doctors, I have made the very tough decision to leave the U.S. Senate at the end of this year. I have informed Georgia Governor Brian Kemp today that I will resign my Senate seat effective December 31, 2019," Isakson said in a statement.
ย
There will have to be a special election for the seat in November 2020. This presents a huge opportunity for Democrats to expand the Senate map and increase their chances of gaining control.

Isakson ran as a moderate conservative, but there's no such thing in recent years, so he is pretty much a party line vote.ย

ย

I wonder if Stacey Abrams will consider this race. I don't think she will, and she's probably right not to do so, but she'd be formidable.ย

Another day, another reason I am repulsed by NYT.

(the person she is addressing is an NYT reporter who is fuming that Beto O'Rourke kicked Breitbart people out of an event)

With two Senate seats up for grabs Georgia is going to be a bonfire of voter suppression. It's going to be Jim Crow on steroids.
