But that would mean people like the Kennedys/Clintons/Obamas would have to keep their nose out of it too. I'd rather have people who want to gut public education out of power. I'll admit my strongest bias is against the ultra wealthy, but some of them are a force for good in certain areas.

Virginia's Governor's race is at stake...Donna Brazile can go screw herself.  Not a fan anymore.  She is wrecking us....she could have made a statement at any time and chose to do it right before this election.  She could have done it, if she knew it - MONTHS ago.  Chose to do it now.  To me - she's not a Democrat, she's a opportunist.  This race is tightening, Northam will probably lose, and I blame her.  Hope she loves her life when Republicans rule the South, North and all over.  Go Donna.  You did a great job.  Now I'll be accused of attacking a woman. As a Gay Male, I'll be accused of attacking a woman.  She stinks.

Apparently she wanted to be the new Comey and announce it right before an election and then claim stupidity, and harm, and sadness, etc. etc. etc.  Whatever honey.

Donna Brazille lied by omission when making her claims yesterday. The deal between the Clinton campaign and the DNC was not to go into effect until the general election. The DNC clearly states in the memo that the contract was only if Hillary became the nominee and they were free to make deals with other campaigns vying for the nomination. Once again, a Hillary Clinton “scandal” is a big fat nothing Burger.

I'm afraid.   Even truth is too late.  It's too late.  I'm seriously scared and afraid.  The toothless white rednecks will come out and vote for Gillespie, and that's coming from a Gay White Redneck.  They speak in small sentences and it resonates with them and they don't get a bigger picture other than the hope of a $500 tax refund.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there aren't going to be a lot of people defending DB.

Did she do this just to promote her book? I truly do not get why she would revisit this topic now. I'm completely fatigued by the subject of who did what in the election of 2016. I don't care, it's done.

I've unfriended so many people.  Conservatives. When I argue with them  - they just say "We're confused why you're so angry that Hillary didn't win?  Why are you mad/angry"?  I'm like. I don't give a freakin *UCK about Hillary.  I really DON'T.  I'm angry because you're STUPID.  This has become a reality series and it's MY country.  I have never seen anything like Donald Trump.  There should be NO way Twitter should be a way of a President of communicating.

No, you're right.  When I made that statement, I didn't take into consideration people like the Kennedys, the Clintons, and the Obamas.  It just seems to me that some wealthy people (like Betsybug) hold this notion that a public school education is a dead end, and that public schools are just dens of iniquity where their kids are liable to acquire "bad habits," and that makes my teeth itch.

Me, too, lol.  If I had funds to donate, I'd donate them in Bubbles' name as well.  And not just to Planned Parenthood, but to any organizations that advocate for LGBT-related causes.  I think it'd be the least I could do as an American (who dislikes Bubbles with a passion).

What is it about the Democrats always shooting themselves in the foot at the worst possible moment?  There are a lot of reasons as to why we have Trump in the WH today, and one of them is because the Democratic Party often doesn't have the sense God gave a jackass.

For me, the fact that she felt such sadness over having to tell Bernie what she THOUGHT she knew said everything.

I do think the Clintons and Obama's are better when it comes to public education - well a little. One big issue I had with Obama

I am a former HS Math teacher in Chicago Public Schools and was still teaching there when Arnie Duncan(Obama's Sec of Education) was closing schools, consolidating, and was behind the first few Charter Schools. Obama appointed him his first Sec of Education. And when DeVos talked about Charter schools, Duncan even commended her. He, Rahm Emmanual Obama's former chief of staff, both are charter school advocates and Chicago has a significant number of them now. The new education funding bill just signed allocates a tax credit for Illinois residents who donate money to private schools as long as that money is used for disadvantages students. That tax credit comes our of the state of Illinois public education budget.

Emmanual and Duncan both believe that the solution to public school funding is to privatize them partially through the charter school model. And by the way the charter schools now have lower scholastic achievement than the public schools.

So what I am saying is that I don't buy that Obama would have people serving for him, especially as his Sec of Education, who's beliefs were in contrast.

The one positive aspect of the Sec of Education is that they have limited influence on the public school system, Sure there are changes they can impact, but the budgets and curriculum are controlled entirely by each state and school district.

    • In the current environment, while it's small, there is a crumb of good news: Apparently, San Antonio voted for a DEMOCRATIC mayor, Gina Ortiz, beating the "right-hand man" of Gov. Greg Abbott, former Texas Secretary of State Rolando Pablos. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5337199-gina-ortiz-jones-wins-san-antonio/
    • Love this! You are both adorable. Wow
    • I have not gone back to watch much of 1987, but from what I've seen lately, it doesn't feel like the writers or producers had any sort of plan. The show feels as if it's constantly in flux.  I will give it credit for this. It's watchable for the most part minus Lisa/Jamie which I find nearly unwatchable now.   I don't find Cheryl mousy. I think she has a lot of quiet strength, but she was saddled with the Scott romance which the writers did not invest in. She had a good friendship with Julie (also criminally underused), and her interactions with Ada were enjoyable as well. I also like Layman, but Spencer was extremely talented and when Cass returns, Schnetzer and Spencer have some wonderful scenes. Spencer also fits in with Alexander, Hogan, and Marie.  I'd forgotten just how much I missed seeing Wallingford. IT was so good to see him again. Even when they didn't have a major plot, Felicia/Cass/Wallingford/Mitch always brings a smile to my face.
    •   Dani’s cute ass party planner. He gave me some tea but I was so drunk I don’t remember it.
    • NBC must have been grateful to have LHOTP, it's only hit and still strong after several seasons. Their next established show was Rockford Files at 45th. They didn't develop any comedies and relied on movies and mini series  which didnt establish viewer loyalty and habits. Their only new hit was mid season's Project UFO which debuted Feb up against Rhoda/On Our Own on CBS and How the West Was Won on ABC. It opened with a strong 36 share beating CBS and close to ABC as HTWWW had a 36 share over 3 hours. The next week UFO saw a respectable 32 share, then a 31 so it was slipping. A 28 share followed but a few weeks later it jumped back up to a 34. So no blockbuster but compared to what else they had, there was potential, So next season NBC sent it to Thursday up against Mork and The Waltons and it bombed.  They were smart to see potential in Chips, which took off on Saturdaysnext season. ABC was on a roll with Love Boat, 3's Company, Taxi, Eight is Enough adding to their hits. Their only real flops were Redd Foxx and San Pedro Beach Bums, an Aaron Spelling misfire. Like Redd Foxx, Harvey Korman was lured to ABC but his series was a filler that did well but was considered a time slot hit. Nancy Walker and Rob Reiner were also given series on the philosophy that not only were they popular names, their absence from popular shows like Sanford, Rhoda and All in the Family might weaken those shows. CBS were relying on old favorites. Betty White was strong the first few weeks then faded. Incredible Hulk was their strongest newbie. It was lucky for CBS that NBC was doing so badly or else some of their weaker shows would have really suffered.
    • That outfit looks like something Martin would wear lol.
    • Omg not we both ran into people from the show this weekend!
    • I guess he was let out the gates, because he's outside.
    • Yup.  You can hate John all you want, but like seriously he was the cornerstone of the show for years.  So he should get a long ass funeral and burial and all the things because Drake and John deserve that.
