But he's sooo awful. I'm sure I would have had my price when I was younger and poor AF, but I was too naive to realize the power of that 18-28 range when I was in it.  I'd say it's better to social climb with a guy who's much older, but just a decent upper middle class guy.  If I were married to someone like Trump I'd always be wondering how good the CSI team in my city really is and I'd be in an orange jumpsuit soon enough.

The Kim Weaver thing is kind of frustrating me for a number of reasons. She didn't just drop out because of threats. She also said that she couldn't afford to quite her job and campaign full time because then she would lose her health insurance and she also has an elderly mother in poor health. People keep talking about the threats, for good reason, but I think the other two reasons are a big indicator of why it's hard for thoughtful committed people to run for office.

I read that he's also making a campaign issue of "robots" and reminding Silicon Valley of the people who will be put out of work and left behind. While some are calling him a hypocrite given his big business ties, I'm glad someone is talking about it.

I've been wrestling with the issue of these "leaks". While I'm grateful that people are willing to risk their careers and their freedom to get this story out, and I have no doubt this thing would've died quietly if the public hadn't learned of it and kept the pressure on Congress and the DOJ, it's still espionage and it's dangerous.

Technically, Reality Winner is not being charged with espionage, she is being charged with leaking classified NSA documents.  There are different criteria for espionage.

An article on the shameful way the Trump administration is rolling back workers' safety protections in favor of big business.

Some recent gains under the Obama administration, such as standards to protect workers against hazardous and toxic chemicals such as beryllium and silica (which lead to various lung diseases) are being rolled back.

Also the budget for the Chemical Safety Board is being decimated to the point of practical elimination.

Under Trump, Worker Protections Are Viewed With New Skepticism

I enjoyed their individual scenes with other characters before they all came together at the Pub to commiserate over their relationships with Sami. I thought that was broken down pretty well. I just wish it had gone on a little longer. And I actually found it kinda funny too lol it seemed more mature than what we're used to. That's the kind of humor that should be on a soap. But I'm not really sure about all this talk of Dante Vitali and Sami's engagement though, especially since it doesn't look like Ali Sweeney is coming back anytime soon. What's the point of it all if we're (probably) not going to see it? It also looked like today was the first round of Brady vs. Xander as well lol I enjoyed their fight, and I'm interested in seeing this storyline play out. Even though I'm sure that Sarah will ultimately go back to Xander in the end, I'd like to see what happens along the way, and how they and everyone around them are affected by this. Btw, Theo and Jada? Idk. I still think he had the most chemistry with Arianna. And he was a bit of a dick too. It also seemed a little out of character for Jada for her to be so OK with him being such a dick  And though Alex and Stephanie were very boring again and need much better conflict than this book stuff, I am interested in the mystery of who's targeting Alex.  And yeah, I know this is a nitpick, but why is the Square still open after the gala? Isn't it supposed to be really late at night?
    • In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.

    • Frat Boy Jr.'s reaction to seeing Luna was just awful acting. It was so bad that I started laughing.

Does anyone have screenshots of it?
    • Geez, I hadn't heard that Doctors story. HBS really did go through it.
    • No offense to the actors involved, but dear God in heaven: I don't know HOW viewers managed to get through that storyline with Maggie, Frank, Cal and baby Jill without running into oncoming traffic.  Then, to make matters worse, they dragged poor Diana into the mess!  I don't care WHO gets that damn baby!  Just wrap it up and move ON already!
    • Poor HBS.  To have to put up with Stephen Burleigh, who stuck his knee between her legs while rehearsing a love scene on THE DOCTORS, then told the director that's what he did with his wife; Kincaid, who had more hair on his chest and upper lip than Koko the Gorilla; Kale Browne, who taped his lines all over the OLTL studio floor, because he couldn't ever be bothered to [!@#$%^&*] memorize them; and Robert S. Woods, who apparently thought it was still 1979 and that he was still smolderingly sexy, so why should Bo Buchanan be stuck being in a happy marriage with Nora?  After all that, no wonder she jumped at the chance to play a lesbian on VENICE, lol.
    • @Maxim Thank you for the mini-review and clip from several pages ago. I appreciate you using the Bo/Alex clip as them meeting again by this point was a real surprise to me. The scene has some layers, getting a glimpse of Alex genuinely wanting the best for Bo rather than gloating. I was disappointed it ended with Tina dragging her out of the room for some much less interesting sparring (I did enjoy Alex pointing out just how quickly Tina got over Cord).
