It's actually not true, but it doesn't really matter, as the people he's appointed to positions that will affect lgbt people the most are anti-gay (and racist and sexist and xenophobic, etc.). But the tweet is so broad that it means people are more likely to dismiss it.

Until the Professional Left starts listening to POC with intersectionality in mind they're going to continue to lose.

Many on the Professional Left have been too busy throwing POCs under the bus for this election loss while ignoring the fact that 53% of White women voters were for the p*ssy grabber.

Just yesterday, I saw two people arguing on social media about this until one person finally admitted that they didn't know the actual meaning of intersectionality.  Are we serious? In this day and age? Imagine being so privileged that you don't have to think or acknowledge such things.

So, Carrier is keeping a 1000 jobs yet still shipping 1500 jobs to Mexico?

What a shocker - a large number of Republicans who wanted an Obamacare repeal before the election have now changed their minds.

I can't stand people like this. These are the people who vote to hurt millions of Americans every 2 years or 4 years and still expect a free lunch. They can kiss my ass.

I've been reading about this. It reminds me of people who work for international companies in the U.K. who voted Brexit and are now worried that their companies will pull up stakes and go to Germany or Switzerland.

The irony here is that trump caved and for the great negotiator, he's done exactly what he has criticized politicians for doing for years. Giving a company a tax break for staying here. And in this case, they are still eliminating over half the jobs and sending them to Mexico.

What I don't get is if Carrier has a big government contract, tell them you'll consider pulling it if those jobs are all cut.

And I never believed most people wanted Obamacare cut. It was just a talking point for GOPers who hate Obama.

But states like California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, New York, Virginia, Nevada, and Illinois are talking about potentially taking over the state marketplaces and offering a form of the plan to their own residents, possibly pooling all the states together who are interested in keeping some form of it. I don't know if the Massachusetts plan went away after Obamacare went into effect, but I assume they would be another state willing to participate.

I stand corrected. I've read that Carrier will be keeping 800 jobs in the U.S. and shipping 1300 to Mexico. At a cost of $7K to Indiana taxpayers.

@JaneAusten I think the idea of a regional or a coastal healthcare marketplace exchange is a promising one. On the East Coast where I live for example, the NYC Metro area all vote blue pretty consistently, although with Christie being the governor of NJ, I don't know how that figures into it but I know that CT already has a state exchange which could be strengthened if it joined forces with say, NYC.  Already many people work in NYC and live in CT, and to a lesser extent, vice versa. States like Rhode Island and Delaware, that are small may also benefit from a regionally run exchange, including shared responsibilities with a website, as I imagine a small state may find it onerous to run their own health exchange website.

I don't know if Elizabeth Warren is genuinely supporting Romney and Scott Brown (as she knows the alternatives are terrifying) or if she's trolling and knows her warm words are more likely to make Trump not pick them, thus further proving her point about what an extremist he is.

I wondered the exact same thing. I suspect she's just so outspoken that she can't be quiet, even when that's more likely to result in getting what she wants.
