Oooh, Lily finally being a little pissed off...But um Colleen is an Abbott, why would it be such a stretch for her to be the fresh face of Jabot?..And dare I say Billy made TS(whom i'm no fan of at all) look alive in their quick scene?

I agree. I really like Miller and his portrayal of Billy is refreshing, but he needs to tone it down a bit on some of his "Richie-isms" (the bizarre facial expressions and vocal intonations). He's playing a character now that has his sanity, unlike Richie, a role that gave him a bit more latittude. Otherwise, I can't wait to see how Billy's story unfolds.

I LOVE this change in the Lily & Colleen relationship. I really hope they go full on frenemies into enemies with them. Because id love tos ee TS play a bitch. I think she would do well if they made Colleen more of a bitch than a heroine and Lily needs a bitch play heroine against to be honest. I am intersted in these two for the first time since the old actress'w ere in the roles. Loved Graz's face watching them argue.

Billy Abbott  ... I actually lOVE how Billy Miller is playing him. I dont think he needs to done it down at al. The way Billy is playing him is why i actually believ the playboy rich guy womanizer angle of him they are selling. But Billy plays it with enough heart somehow that its not one note. I know there is more to him than that, and not just based of his past on the show.

BM & DG had major sexual chem. I kept wondering if Billy & Cane were brothers.. or lovers. I like it. lol.

The moment they had that scene at Crimson Lights, a few weeks ago, and Colleen was all "Oy really loike your ex-husband. Oy'm gonna date him, kay?" I sat up to watch. Because there was more fake sweetness, pent-up resentment and bitchiness in that scene than any featuring Lily with, say, Chloe or Amber. And I've got to hand it to CK, girl doesn't have an iota of chemistry with DG but with the female actors her age, it's a different story. Lily was really irritated with Colleen and that irritation has only intensified since then.

I guess I can buy BM's mannersims here (and I absolutely love him as Billy, don't get me wrong) because he is playing a role and constantly "on show" -- the youngest brother to this siblings, the charming rake to his peers. On Tuesday, when he hugged his mom, though, the mask dropped for a moment and it was a glimpse into the real Billy who has bottled his rage and feelings of rejection. I think Billy is going to reinvigorate the character of Cane, too, and hopefully give him his balls back.

P.S.: Cane isn't the only brother Billy's got that kind of chemistry with.

me too. But i thought that would be it. Dropped. Then today i loved it.

Lily: Uh, actually, there's something that I want to talk to you about. Look, I know I said that I was okay with you testing to be the fresh face of jabot, but I'm not. I actually would mind a lot, and I just wish I could be happy about it, but I can't.

Colleen: Well, it's not like I stole your job. I mean, you quit, lily.

Lily: Yeah, I know. I'm just being honest about how I feel.

Colleen: Okay. Well, then I need to be honest, because the more I think about it, the more I want it. I mean, especially since it's for the company my grandfather created.

Lily: Colleen, I understand that. I'm just saying that if you get the position and you accept, then fine. That's your right, t I don't have to like it.

Colleen: What does that mean?

Lily: It means that it's gonna have an effect on our friendship. (Lily walks away)

Colleen: I don't know how to handle this. I don't want to lose my best friend.

Daniel: Well, you know, I can totally understand where lily's coming from, but if you take that job, I don't think that you're gonna lose her. You know, yeah, your relationship might take a little hit, but you guys will b able to work it out, won't you? I mean, look at all the stuff that we went through, and we're still friends.

Colleen: I don't know, Daniel. I mean, after everything that's been dumped on her, I think this could just push her over the edge.

Daniel: So are you rethinking the jabot job?

Colleen: I don't know. It's an amazing opportunity, you know? But I guess there are other jobs.

Daniel: Well, I guess you're just gonna have to decide if it's worth it.

However, that part stood out. Could they be setting up a Lily loses it? humm....

Thats why i buy it. It seems like a show, an act. To mask something., And for that split second when he hugged Jill you seen the act drop.

Oh, and i cant comment on if PB & BM have sexual chem because i cant stand jackass. It clouds my judgment.

I haven't seen yesterday's show yet but how's that for a big ole anvil of foreshadowing! If so, they've been laying the groundwork for weeks now. I always thought it was creepy strange the way Lily seemed to be totaly OK with losing the love o' her life to Cane. I actually thought those Crimson Lights scenes from a few weeks back were actually the result of tension between the actresses as opposed to the characters!

LOL, it's probably just me but Jack was practically purring in his scenes with Billy! I am very intrigued to see how DG and BM interact, especially since Miller has been playing up the Cane obsession since he arrived -- including immediately after sex with Amber!

Other bouts of inappropriate chemistry: Danny looking like he wanted to lick Daniel. Seriously.

Ha, i didnt think it was via tension between the actress' ... i just didnt figure much of it, but i liked it. So im glad it wasnt just random. And yeah, i can see lily breaking down. sooner or later. I also like Billy's intrest in Lily.

Speaking of Daniel.. Any scene between him & Nick. Josh & The Graz just sex it up together on screen. Also, Michael & kevin sometimes seem to be veering into more than just friends Chuck Bass & Nate Archie areas ... Then there is Kevin & Michael but i will just leave it at that ... Oh, and nuNoah and Daniel ... Oh, and we cant forget the love between Paul & JT.

As for the girls, Amber & Chloe could get it on any second.

OMG, today's episode ended GREAT!

But first... LOVED Chloe vs Colleen! So much fun! But I kinda liked Colleen vs Lily, so with Colleen deciding to reject Cane's offer, I hope they don't abandon Colleen vs Lily thing. It makes both girls much interesting than in their romance storylines with Daniel and Cane.

Okay, I admit, for the most of the episode I didn't pay too much attention, cause I was making lunch and what not. But the ending... PERFECTION!

Nick and Phyllis are in bed and Sharon calls because of Noah! Phyllis is clearly pissed, even though she doesn't show it! Nick leaves to deal with this! Woohoo! Take that, Phyllis! :)

Then, Billy shows up at Cane's, Cane can't open, so Chloe does and we learn that Chloe and Billy know each other (well, not that we didn't already assume this, but it was still cool)... AWESOME!

And previews for tomorrow look great too! More tension between Sharon and Phyllis, along with the continuation of Billy/Chloe/Cane stuff. It's gonna be great!

Oh, and are you people sure that Eden is a short term role? Cause they're really pushing her into this new teen scene. Which I don't really like, but as long as that storyline takes the back seat, I'll leave with it.

No, nobody said it's a short term role. A few of her airdates were given at the beginning, and that must be a trial period or something. I hope they drop her, but I have a feeling she'll stick around. The character is fine, but the actress is just extremely annoying. I never want to her her cry or yell ever again. Ugh.

    • If a soap actor or behind the scenes figure was roasted at any point in time, who would you have at the main table? This topic came about when I imagined a Friends episode (Joey, of course, would bomb at roasting). The Roast of Deidre Hall, circa 1997 Roastmaster: Drake Hogestyn Roasters: Jed Allan, Wayne Northrop, Joseph Mascolo, Eileen Davidson, Christie Clark, Alison Sweeney, Ken Corday, James E. Reilly, Andrea Hall, Jane Elliot, James Reynolds, Shannen Doherty, Wilford Brimley, and Frances Reid.
    • Amanda has been giving it to Abby ever since her and Chance walked in on them together. So great to hear.   I can see that. Lily and Damian are always a highlight to me.
    • I recall @Chris B asking about this but here is an interview Sheri Anderson did with SOU back in the fall of ‘89: Here is an article that I think is interesting, it is an interview with Shery Anderson, screenwriter of the ninth season THE WRITE STUFF: FALCON CREST’S SHERI ANDERSON: FROM DAYS TO NIGHTTIME By Richard Spencer Soap Opera Update, 1989 : At a time when the success of nighttime soaps is shaky, Sheri Anderson, former headwriter for DAYS OF OUR UVES, ANOTHER WORLD, GUIDING LIGHT and GENERAL HOSPITAL, makes the jump to the evening format with some new ideas to help strenthen the CBS California vineyard based soap opera FALCON CREST. "FALCON CREST is going to have a differnet tone that it never had before," headwriter Sheri Anderson expiains. "The people that I am working with are kind of an interesting mix. The executive producer, Joel Sumow, did the first years of MIAMI VICE and THE EQUALIZER, Bob Cochran, a Harvard MBA,and Cyrus Nowrasteh, who has done a number of features, are story editors. I am co-porducer, with a history in daytime, so we are a real different mix. We all kind of balance each other out in different ways. I am sort of the emotional side (coming from daytime) and they are more the gritty side." A lack of focus is what Sheri attributes to FALCON CREST's problems the last few seasons. "No one , seemed to knwo that the characters' motivations were. Pilar was a real good example. No one seemed to know what she wanted. This season it is clear that Pilar wants Lance. That is really her dream and goal tokeep Lance. She will do anything to do that. She will be making some sacrifices thís season that really jeopardize her relationship with Lance." While Pilar's character may be strongly in place, Maggie's is not. How will the show restructure in light of Maggie's drowning? " We are not trying to replace her, but we are adding another kind of strong heroine character. That character is Laruren Daniels. She's very earthy; married to a construction worker. Lauren. is the sister of Michael Sharp, Gregory Harrison's new character. "Michael is an extremely powerful adversary to Richard Channing. He will be more cynical than Richard and less emotionally motivated. For Michael it is all power and money. The audience will be more sympathetic toward Richard. He will be going through hell," Sheri reveáis with doom in her voice, "...Paying for his past sins " The complete opposite of Richard or Michael's intensity is the the new character of Charlíe St. James."Charlie is every woman's foolish choice," Sheri character sketches. "He's kind of indescribable; charismatic, totally unpredictable, charming, unnervtng. He's coming in as a love interest for Emma. He will be the first man to make Emma feel like a woman. She's really not victimized by him...she’s addicted to him. Charlie's presence will make her a little less flakey this season." But Emma is not the only one in store for major personality changes, also in the categroy is Frank. "We arebringing back somebody from his past," Sheri reveals "there will be a great secret that will come to ight." Speaking of characters from the past, are there any Sheri would like to return? "Everyone is fond of Ana-Alicia in her original role. At this point we don't have any plans to bring her back because we have some other character that are going to take the forefront." And if one thing is going to remain the same, it will be what Sheri recognizes as the theme of FALCON CREST "Quest for control of Falcon Crest. We have people trying to take control, and they are all taking it for different reasons. Some are emotioanl, some are revenge, but they each have a different eason for which they want Falcon Crest. And that is really the pivotal center. It is very earthy." Keeping the core of lite show intact is not the only thing nighttime shows have to do to stay interesting and acording to Sheri"I din't think night time shows have kept paces with changes in the viewing audience," Sheri answers by analyzing what exactly is primetime soaps* problem. ln datyime, you do over the years the shows stay on, but you are adapting to what people are accepting:faster-paced, or slower, or addíng more comedy, depending on the audience, and what they are buying. I don't think some of these shows in primetime have done that "We are trying to make the show as much episodio as it is continuing. We are cutting down the number of scenes in each act to get the audience more involved. But some of the shows, and this happens in daytime al so, don’t let the characters really grow," Sheri certainly made chracters develop during her daytime career, but especially on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, which is the source for her favourite stories of her careen ”When Víctor carne to Salem and revealed tha the was really Bo’s father, it caused such a ripple effect for Kim, Shane, Román, Bo, Hope, Caroline and Sean. I also liked bringing Kayla back for Patch.” Having written for Kristian Alfonso' s Hope (DAYS) and now Pilar on FC, Sheri distínguishes between the two characters. "Pilar is a woman, but Hope was growing up. Hope was more innocent and Pilar is not Pilar has an intelligent strength where Hope did all the wrong things for all the right reasons." Pilar wíll be the only one retuming from her family, while Angela Channing’s appearances will be limited (per Jane Wyman's contract). "But Richard will be taking a very strong role which is very similar to Angela Angelad presence will be felt in every epísode/ Sheri informs. A lot of people complained about the women of FALCON CREST being wishy-washy They certainly aren't this season Sheri emphasizes. "Lauren will be strong, especially after her brother Michael steais Richard’s children and places them with her, Frnak’s step daughter will be very devious, indicateive of Kathleen Turner in “Body Heat” And Gregory Harrison is fabulous," Sheri reports with joy. "He is so different from his character on TRAPPER JOHN, M.D He is very similar to Michael Douglas in the film 'Wall Street'. FALCON CREST viewers will find a much richer textrae, getting away from the glamour and really going to substance and style." Sheri concludes, "it will be a show to watch, We are trying to bring in a new audience, and at the same time, respect our past audience."
    • Well, if he's had a series of mini-strokes along the way (which, IIRC, he did), then that influences things. I can say, from my experience of having had two full-blown strokes, that recovery periods were very, very different, both in terms of difficulty and length of time.
    • Whhhhhhhhhhhattttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was everybody out this weekend.
    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
