Maybe, but to tell you the truth, @Franko, I didn't think Jill had much of a "life" on the show beyond her relationship with Gary.  If she hadn't have gone insane and tried to kill Val, she probably would have just left town like Paula Vertosick.

Someone posted the scene on TikTok of Karen giving Val's eulogy, and the whole time Gary was looking back over his shoulder at Kate.  My reaction was, dude, keep it in your trousers at the memorial for the mother of kids!

I remember that. Gary was a man slut that never used protection and slept with every woman that came/looked his way. They even had a scene of Pat admitting to Karen that she was attracted to Gary. I was waiting for them to have a roll in the hay at the stables.

The plan WAS for Gary and Pat to hook up, but TPTB put the old kibosh on it.  (Gee, I wonder why, lol?). They also planned for Gary and Anne to have an affair, but Michelle Phillips put an end to THAT, saying that Anne couldn't just go from man to man like that.  (Um, Michelle, did you know the character you were portraying, lol?)

Oh poop. I just started re-watching Knots about two months ago and am at the end of season 3, but if it's coming in better versions than the terrible tv rips I might as well pause if it's coming soon? Is there a timeline to this?

It's a totally different experience viewing these classic 80s soaps in HD.  It's like you're watching them for the first time. I'll be starting season 7 probably this weekend. I'm down to two episodes of season 6.

    • Yes, I am aware of the ballyhoo about Michigan. But, I still do not understand & I will  endeavor to explain why. Do some of us think it was a real place in Michigan, because not thing ever gave me such an idea. I thought we all knew it was a fictional location & I am positive that Irna meant it to be just that.
    • It has come up in this thread before that early on it was specified that Another World was set in Bay City, Michigan, but somewhere along the line the references shifted to Illinois-ish.    I have tried and failed to find any specific clear reference to Michigan, although there have been some circumstantial details that suggest Bay City is not in Illinois. i notice that the AW Bible begins by describing the location as simply "not far from Oakdale", but things do change (the bible calls Pat Cynthia) and we can't take that as pure canon.
    • At this point (and I've changed my tune several times), I'd fully rest the Cassadine family at this point.

    • The loooong pan around the room that ends in actual action with Maria and Edmund vs. just silently surveying the damage is very technically impressive. I don't think I've ever seen more than bits and pieces of this; my viewing was very spotty early on in '93/'94. I mostly remember the aftermath.
    • Disgusting how Gilly was written out. I'm glad I was not watching that travesty. Petronia Paley deserved better as well.   Interesting to me how so many viewers wanted Annie to succeed--the same way they were so invested in Marian/Brett.

Oh how I wish Angela Lansbury would have called out Les Moonves and put him on blast.
    • The first time I cried from a soap, Zane's death. I cried for 3 days.
    • Very happy to see GH hit #1 on Hulu! The show's been on fire and deserves the added eyeballs.
    • I really appreciated all the movement in today's episode.  It resonated with me that it felt like the sort of nervous energy that can surround a family after death. I want to point out the EJ scene.  I was riveted by his multi-layered performance. When he told Belle that he went to her because he loved her, and then saw that she was embarrassed by him, and rejected the part of her that was attracted to him.  It started to make even more sense why he would try to protect Johnny (who I still don't think shot him).  EJ feels like a pariah (although TBH, it wouldn't have hurt to bring Marlena some of that tea that everyone had been promising her all morning).  And he doesn't want to pass that along to his son by exposing him as the shooter.  It is interesting that we see none of those same concern between Kristen and lil'Rachel.
