He is barely used...it's a disappointment to me as he was one of the only Tates. They have wasted Joe and his return.

As the money dries up we'll see more and more of these exits, but it's characters like Chastity who need to go.

If they had played up the Tate side of Noah I would have agreed. But the Tates are almost as dead as a family as the Kings.

I have an issue with her mostly because she's so hard and unlikeable compared to when I was a fan of the character, but you're right, others could go first.

With Emmerdale these days it's a challenge to figure out who I wouldn't get rid of. The sad part is those are characters I could see being cut soon (for instance, I don't think Nicola and Laurel have much time left).

I agree, if the rumours about Nick Miles are true I fear that Nicola is hanging on by a thread. And they clearly have no idea what to do with Laurel. That little fling with Ross was over almost before it began. It might not have been the best of stories, but it was something. Now she's just wandering aimless around. The story they started with Arthur and his anger issues have also completely vanished. But I guess it took precious screentime away from Charity. 😒 She gets story after story after story....

I know it's not them, but the people in A at first glance looked like Ian Ogilvy and Nicola Pagett. (It could very well be Ian, but I'm sure it's not Nicola) I recognize the two in picture B, but for the life of me I can't recall their names. The man in picture E also looks so familiar.... It looks like the groom in picture D is in uniform, so maybe that one is from "A Family at War"?

My God, how much agony will they pile on poor Sarah..... 🙄

She will overhear Dr.Todd and Charity talk about the former's assault on the latter (but she will conveniently miss the part of the conversation dealing with baby Leyla's true parentage) and then she will push Dr.Todd, causing her death....

I think I threw up in my mouth a little when they had Noah tell Cain that he had been like a father to him.... 🤢 Poor Chris was probably spinning like mad in his grave.

They really have done a number on Chris, even this long after his death. One of his sons, Joe, is friendly with Chris' arch-enemy Kim, and the other one, Noah, sees his other arch-enemy Cain as a father.... 😠

I don't see why they made her a Sugden, except to be able to say "look, we're honouring the show's history and bolstering the Sugden presence on the show". TIIC are full of hyperbole, which they prove every time they talk about upcoming stories. They're always going to be "the most exciting explosive stories ever with long-lasting consequences that will turn lives upside down forever" etc 🙄

Serena being a Sugden has made no more difference to the character than if she had just been any random new character. But to be fair, I guess you can't put that entirely on the current showrunners. The Sugden family has been so decimated over the years that introducing a new member of the family was always going to be difficult. And some would probably say that I'm too nitpicky with my complaints about the way Serena is connected to the family. So be it. I still think there were better ways of introducing her. The actress could very well pass for being half-Spanish so the better option would have been to introduce her as Joe's daughter with some woman he met during his last year when he lived with Annie and Amos in Spain, instead of inventing a whole new group of never-before-mentioned Sugdens.

Kev is stealing the Show lately and so hilarious! He’s the Humor that was missing in a way. The story itself could be better but all people he’s acting off on make it work lol

What a shame to lose Dawn. The actress was so good and since 2018 even she got some piss poor scripts she still delievered! The Joe/Dawn-Caleb/Ruby-Billy story carried 2026 for me after that too depressing Bear and slavery story…

Since my favorite show unter uns was cancelled on Monday and will still air til March 27 I appericiate Emmerdale a bit more again! I was about to give up ED so Many times when it was annoying BUT it made me realize how much I would miss it when it’s actually gone just like Guiding light back then. It was quite of fun hating on a few bad things but when they actually cancelled that show it did broke my heart :( so I willSupport Emmerdale for the rest of my life !

When Emmerdale is draining your last strength and brain cells with some storylines it’s really annoying and bad. But when Emmerdale is good then it’s really good. The last few weeks were sooo good and got me hooked again! It’s such a shame we had to lose Jimmy King for it. I know 5 other characters we should get rid of before Jimmy and Dawn. I really thought Sadie and Jimmy would meet again :( what a shame

Can’t believe they said they don’t know what to do with Dawn anymore. I mean this accident and Billy’s lies and Caleb’s involvement coming to light would’ve given her and Joe material for the next 6 months lol They could’ve been such a power couple dominating the village BUT of course in a village where it’s always Cain and his clan winning it won’t happen lol

Gabby is getting a new storyline now. I like that. Everyone that is not Cain, Charity or anyone with the Dingle name is appericiated.

Belle is my personal favorite and can get a new big story cause she is such a sweetheart! Her story with tom got unter my skin. I was in a toxic relationship ten years ago and it took really all of me to get out of it and Belle’s story reminded me how strong I became since then and that’s why I have a soft spot for her.. I mean I liked her already since the Lachlan days and when her illness came to light but that story made me feel for her even more !
