May 30, 200817 yr Member Congrats to OLTL. Good stuff is happening on that soap so it is good to see it reflected in the ratings. Last week with the wonderful wedding was stellar. Don't what to say about Y&R. Wow. Told you'll that it could always get worse than it was under LML. LML just needed an experience c-headwriter to reign her in and Y&R would be flying. B&B has been enjoyable of late. It is a good sign that B&B is holding its own as Y&R spirals downwards unlike ATWT which is a nightmare.
May 30, 200817 yr Member Y&R is in need of CPR fast. I will say it was nice to see that the day Sharon Case had those marvelous scenes at Cassie's grave was the highest rated show of the week. She was fabulous! The only bright spot in an otherwise dull week.
May 30, 200817 yr Member Damn I find myself rooting for OLTL! Pretty soon it will be ABC's #1 soap. Maybe that will be TIIC at ABC's wake up call The day they "made love" was the lowest day of the week! LMAO!!! *high five to all my Ejami haters* (it was Tuesday, right?) Toupsy you rock AMC should have NEVER done the Greenlee/Adian/Kendall nonsense at A&J's wedding. Viewers who would have watched the wedding were forced to tune out because of the Greenlee nonsense. I completely agree! I know I found myself FF'ing that ish to get back to the wedding. IMO it's like they threw the Greenlee stuff there like an afterthough, it really didn't fit the flow of J&A wedding scenes
May 30, 200817 yr Member Ouch for Y&R. As for GL, I can't see how the show can survive for another year. A whopping 2 share in W 18-34?? P&G needs to pull the plug NOW.
May 30, 200817 yr Member I have been loving OLTL lately and hope it continues to rise in ratings above GH.
May 30, 200817 yr Member When was the last time another ABC soap topped GH? Anybody know? Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but I think it was the week of Dixie's reveal in 2006 that AMC topped GH in households. I don't think another ABC soap has topped GH since. If you're talking about long-term, then we'd go back to the 90's, where AMC topped GH a good couple of years from 91 to 95 or so. Edited May 30, 200817 yr by Y&RWorldTurner

I was thinking AMC went on a roll for while back in the day. So if OLTL beats GH again, it will have been more than a decade since that has happened. I'm just trying to figure what will it take for them to realize that GH is a ship that needs to be righted... Edited May 30, 200817 yr by wiccachick_1
May 31, 200817 yr Member Where are the big numbers from Sami and her rapist having sex? God, this question alone makes me glad I'm giving up soaps. I watch AMC and I loved it last week but I know enough not to get attached. Eventually Frons will get his way and JnA will vanish (but hopefully DW and DM will get nice big paychecks in the process). I'm actually thinking of AMC like an "open ended" miniseries. It's just a matter of time before I have to walk away. And I'm actually okay with that. JnA were one of my first soap "loves." It's fitting that they be my last.
May 31, 200817 yr Member Go OLTL go! Would love it if it were ABC's #1 soap...it's the only one I'm fully enjoying
May 31, 200817 yr Member OUch..just saw that 3.3 for Y&R. I can see Y&R hitting a new low next week. Sad but possible.

May 31, 200817 yr Member The day they "made love" was the lowest day of the week! LMAO!!! *high five to all my Ejami haters* (it was Tuesday, right?) It was also the day that news broke about Ted Kennedy's cancer, and news programming interrupted the soaps in some areas...such as Boston. Days was running with at least three stories that day, so the Ejami lovemaking shouldn't have been a reason to tune out (I estimate it made up about 10 minutes of the show's programming). Or, should Payla fans have skipped Kayla giving birth because Ejami was making love the same day? I wouldn't, if I didn't like Ejami but wanted to see someone else who was on that day, I'd still tune in. What happened to GH on Tuesday? It went from a 2.4 on Monday to a 2.0 on Tuesday. Maybe they had news interruptions, too.
